Chapter 15
Secing Isaiah at the door, Sadie’s face went ghost white.
She scrambled off the man beneath her, frantically pulling her clothes together. “Isaiah, what are you doing here?“]
Isaiah took in the scene, a flicker of shock mixing with his rage.
He hadn’t expected Sadie to be cheating on him.]
He barely glanced around before letting out a cold laugh and kicking the man hard: “Get the fuck out!”
The man didn’t dare say a word, grabbing his clothes and scrambling out the door.
Only Sadie remained, desperately clutching her clothes, her mouth frozen in a stiff almost–smile. She nervously tucked her hair behind her ear and was about to speak when Isaiah’s hand closed around her throat.
Sadie’s face instantly turned red, her eyes full of shock:“Isaiah_”
She hadn’t expected him to actually hurt her. Soon, tears leaked from the corners of her eyes as she clawed at his hand, barely managing to choke out
“It’s not what it looks like. Let me explain…
But Isaiah only squeezed tighter, growling through clenched teeth: “What the fuck did I ever do wrong by you? All those years you lived under my roof–what didn’t I give you, huh?“||
“The night before our engagement, you ran off and I didn’t even send anyone after you. When I found out you were eating shit overseas, I brought you back even though I had a wife at home“]
“You said you felt insecure, wanted a baby with a father’s name on the birth certificate, begged me to marry you first–and I fucking did it all!]
“You even had my kid before Genesis did! What more could you possibly want? Why the hell did you switch her vitamins for sterilization drugs? Why did you murder Genesis!”
I spoiled you rotten–is that why you thought you could destroy everything that mattered to me?!“]
His voice reached Sadie’s ears as nothing but buzzing noise.
She felt oxygen running out, her lungs ready to explode, her tongue curling up in her mouth as her face turned purple
Her pupils were f
full of shock.
How the hell could he know she’d killed Genesis?
Impossible. Cameron had said everything was cleaned up–Isaiah had to be bluffing
She refused to admit it don’t know what you’re… talking about.
Seking her breathing grow weaker, Isaiah suddenly released his grip
He didn’t wan
want her to die like this–he wanted her to suffer while she was still breathing.
Sadie collapsed on the floor, gasping desperately, quickly putting on her most pitiful expression
“Isaiah, what are you talking about? What happened to Genesis? I don’t know anything–1 haven’t even left the house these past couple days.”
Isaiah stared at her coldly, his gaze sweeping over the bite marks and hickeys covering her skin.
Sadie hurriedly covered herself with her clothes, shaking her head frantically: “Isaiah, that man seduced me! He drugged me–I don’t know how he got in. You have to believe me!”
Isaiah looked down at
at her, feeling like that innocent face from his memories had become terrifyingly foreign.
He shook his head in disgust: “Stop the act, Sadie. Is human life really that worthless to you?“]
Sadie caught a hint of wavering in his eyes and forced out tears: “Tsalah, I can’t even kill a fish–how could I kill a person? I really don’t understand what you’re saying..
Isaiah looked away, his expression turning ice–cold: “You can’t?”
Before the words were out, he grabbed Sadie’s hair and shoved her head into the nearby fish tank, then yanked it back up, over and over.
Sadie was instantly terrified, frantically slapping at the water.
Water rushed down her throat. Just as she was about to cough, her head was pushed down again. She tried to scream but only made gurgling bubble sounds.
Just then, clear voices, filled the room as Isaiah turned his phone volume to maximum.[]
“What are you doing? A
Aren’t you going to tell Isaiah? This is
is someone’s life!”
“Cam, I was his childhood bride for thirteen years. We can’t save her anyway, so how is this our problem?”
“You didn’t hear anything, did you?
