Chapter 28
The journey for Aaron and Tessa was just beginning.
They had spent the past three months traveling the world, visiting 23 countries.
Never in her life had Tessa imagined she would have such an experience.
After three months, they finally returned home.
Their mating ceremony was only a week away.
Once back, Aaron took full control of the preparations for the ceremony.
He wanted to give Tessa a mating ceremony that was unlike any other, one that would make the entire world know that Tessa was his Luna, his Luna Queen.
The ceremony would take place in a grand cathedral, with invitations extended to every Alpha in the packs, as well as their pack members.
Alpha Liam and Luna Audrey were invited to attend, and so was Ryan.
It wasn’t the first time Ryan had seen Tessa in a wedding dress, but this time, it wasn’t for him.
Seeing her, Ryan felt a deep pang of sadness.
His eyes welled up as he gazed at Tessa–she was the most beautiful woman in his heart.
He watched as the newlywed couple embraced and kissed.
They were the perfect pair, the epitome of love.
Ryan turned and left the ceremony, but as he stepped outside, he unexpectedly ran into someone he hadn’t seen in a long time–Chloe.
She wore simple clothes, a stark contrast to her former self.
Ryan barely recognized her at first.
“What are you doing here?”
Chloe looked worn, her appearance showing the toll of her hardships. But when she saw Ryan, her voice rose, sharp with bitterness.
Tessa was getting married, and Ryan still defended her.
Chloe’s resentment deepened.
After leaving the Bloodmoon Pack, not a single day had gone by that she hadn’t suffered.

The once proud Alpha’s daughter had been reduced to washing dishes and wiping tables for others.
She seethed with hatred, wishing nothing more than to tear them all apart.
After a heated argument with Ryan, she pulled a silver knife from her pocket.
With a quick motion, she drove the blade into Ryan’s heart.
Before he could even react, Ryan collapsed to the floor, blood spreading across the ground.
The horrified screams of onlookers echoed throughout the cathedral.
Murder at the church’s entrance was a grave crime, and Chloe would soon find herself locked away in the dungeons.
Before being dragged away by the warriors, she cast one last, furious glance at Tessa.
With her voice filled with rage, she shouted,
“It’s all because of you, you filthy woman!”
“Everything I’ve become is because of you!”
Tessa stared at Ryan, lying motionless in a pool of blood, his
eyes wide open in disbelief.
In the end, Ryan did not survive. Chloe was arrested and sentenced.
Everything had happened so suddenly, and yet; Tessa couldn’t let it affect her.
Perhaps this was their fate, their karma.
Two years later, Tessa and Aaron returned from another trip abroad.
By then, Tessa had given birth to a child.
They were now a happy family of three, and their life together continued to flourish.
Their future stretched ahead of them, long and full of promise.
