Zephanie’s POV
Blanche said he had a way to break the curse Lesley had placed on me and even send her a little “gift” in return.
Over the years, he’d traveled extensively, and with his personal interest in the mystical and the strange, he’d picked up quite a bit of knowledge.
Honestly, I couldn’t wait to see Lesley get what she deserved.
I wasn’t letting Gavin off the hook either. He had the audacity to drag my late parents into his schemes. Even in death, they weren’t left in peace.
But karma didn’t take long.
First, Lesley’s cosmetic implants shifted out of place. Then, large portions of her face began to break out in lesions. No doctor could help, and she was in no shape to appear on
camera.
Her agency dropped her fast, citing “inability to work” as the reason. They canceled her contract and reclaimed control of her account.
Then one night, well past midnight, she suddenly went live on a side account. Her expression was wild, like she’d lost her mind.
“It was me! I stole your video ideas, Zephanie! I’m sorry. Please, I’m begging you, just leave me alone!”
The stream went quiet for a moment, but then she flipped, raging out of nowhere. “Why? Why do you get everything? Millions of fans and a boyfriend like Gavin!” “Do you know how long I’ve loved him? Since we were in school!”
“You’re just an internet personality. I can do that too! I could be even better!”
“Why does no one see me? You people are blind! I’m more talented than Zephanie. Why can’t anyone see that?!”
She laughed, cried, and shouted–completely unraveling. Even in the dead of night, thousands of people tuned in to watch the drama unfold.
Not long after, the news broke that she and Gavin had driven off a mountain road and vanished into a ravine. The drop was so steep that their bodies were never recovered.
No one knew why they were even in such a remote area to begin with.
After the truth came out, people started apologizing to me online, regretting how quickly they’d taken sides without knowing the full story.
Blanche soon hit the road again, continuing his travels. Before leaving, he promised to send me local treats from every place he visited.
He also left me with one final thought. “The fate that found Lesley and Gavin was your parents‘ doing. Be sure to visit them and say thank you.”
For the first time in a long while, the weight on my heart lifted, and I finally had a peaceful

In my dreams, I even saw my parents.
“Zephanie,” my father said gently, “we’ve taken care of it. But ever since we left you, life’s been so hard for you.”
I ran straight into their arms, holding onto them tightly as tears poured down my face.
“It’s time for us to go now,” my mother whispered. “You have to live well on your own. That way, we can rest easy where we are.”
I nodded, watching them slowly fade into the distance until they were gone.
Not long after that, I reopened my account, but this time, I switched lanes completely.
I began sharing my daily life in the countryside. It let me stay close to Grandma and gave me the chance to visit my parents more often.
With steady effort and genuine content, my new account quickly hit a million followers.
