Stella’s peach blossom eyes went wide. She peeked in, her voice full of surprise. “Mr. Foster, no way–you can make pizza?”
What kind of billionaire made his own pizza at home at night?
She had assumed he would order delivery.
Nathan glanced back at her. Her damp hair hung loosely over her shoulders, soft and vivid, fresh as a blooming flower.
His Adam’s apple shifted slightly. His voice was gentle. “It’s not hard. There are tutorials online.
Stella blinked, genuinely impressed. “You really are a genius–you pick up anything you try! When you get married, your wife’s going to be happy and chubby,”
Nathan’s gaze traveled over her. A warm smile touched his lips. “You haven’t gained any weight.”
The girl was so slim she didn’t have an ounce of extra flesh anywhere. Even with him feeding her morning and night, she still couldn’t put on weight.
The topic had suddenly turned back to her. Stella paused for a beat, then lifted her brows. “I’ve only been living with a few days. Your wife will be with you for a lifetime
“Then why don’t you stay with me a little longer and find out?”
Nathan replied with calm ease, eyes dropping back to the pot.
Steam curled up from inside, carrying a spicy, mouthwatering aroma through the kitchen.
Stella pouted. “Nathan, are you using me as a test subject
When the pizza was served, she added a big spoonful of ketchup right on top, sticky and messy.

She took a bite, looked at Nathan, and made a phone gesture with one hand. “Hello, Mr. Foster? I’m with the livestock farm. According to the delivery driver, your number’s unreachable. Nothing urgent, really–I just wanted to let you know: your cow’s been delivered!”
Nathan was amused. The tiny tea–colored mole on his nose seemed to shift with the movement, making him all the more
vivid.
His warm, pleasant voice carried a hint of coaxing. “This is nothing, Stella. You shouldn’t set your standards too low.”
The words struck her as odd.
She tilted her chin slightly, meeting his eyes.
He was stunning, dressed in a white sweatshirt, both sleeves pushed up to reveal pale, sculpted wrists.
Right now, he was wiping up a spill of ketchup on the table, slow and deliberate, exuding a strange domestic charm.
Stella blinked again.
She often praised his cooking–did he think she was just buttering him up?
If so, he was far too modest.
(o, my standards have always been high,” she said.
Nathan finished cleaning the table, nudged his glasses up with one finger, masking the darkness in his eyes.
“They could be higher–not just when it comes to food.”
Especially when it came to men.

Stella twirled a forkful of sticky instant noodles and slurped them down, smiling. “Old Xie, you’re really getting to that age- you’re starting to sound like a dad.”
Nathan had always known that despite her young age. Stella’s core was incredibly steady. Other people’s words rarely swayed
her.
That made her affection all the more precious.
Lucas wasn’t worthy of a bit of it.
Noticing Nathan’s pause, Stella explained with a grin, “I meant it as a compliment. I really do think your cooking’s great. Even if you don’t think so, I still do.”
Humility was a good trait. She wouldn’t lower her opinion just because he was modest.
“By the way, Ethan said he wants to learn to cook from you so he can make food for me. Do you have time to teach him sometime soon?”
That only proved his cooking really was excellent.
But her words made Nathan’s fingers tighten around his fork. Without thinking, he said, “No time.”
It wasn’t an unusual answer–he’d just said at the door earlier that his workload was heavy these days.
Stella nodded. “Alright, then let me know when you’re free.”
Nathan’s long, thick lashes lowered. He said nothing more.
After their late–night snack, she brushed her teeth and lay down in bed.
When she unlocked her phone, she saw a WhatsApp message from Ethan.
“Phone scams are rampant lately. Don’t answer calls from unknown numbers. A company employee got one today and lost a hundred thousand from their account. Be careful.”
Her brows furrowed.
Wail–scam technology was really that advanced now?
From the time she was a child, there were certain things she could never do she could never hurt money, betray money. waste money, miss out on money, turn her back on money, lose money, emotionally neglect money, stab money in the back. or throw money away..
