Chapter 54 Reunited at Last
Chapter 54 Reunited at Last
Stella looked exactly the same as he remembered.
As unbelievable as time travel sounded, Jimmy believed her.
No matter what, she was alive–and that was all that mattered.

“I’ve been here for just over a week now. I found Ethan first, then heard about what happened with you, and I’ve been looking for you ever since. I’m pretty amazing, right? I actually found you!” Stella looked at him, smiling so brightly it felt like sunlight pouring into his chest.
But Jimmy lowered his head, his hands clenched together beneath the table.
His voice dropped low. “That’s good.”
Good thing she found Ethan first. If she’d found me first, I wouldn’t even be able to eat properly.
Now tell me about your life these past few years, Stella said gently. Her voice was soft and warm.
Jimmy looked up, lips curling into a faint smile. His tone sounded light. “I’ve been doing pretty well these past few years.”
His bangs covered his eyes, hiding whatever emotion lay underneath.
But Stella could tell he was lying.
He hadn’t had an easy life.
Pain, when brought up again, was like a scab being ripped off–it would always hurt.
She didn’t want to press him the moment they reunited.
“You’ve grown into such a handsome young man,” she said with a grin. “But that hair’s got to go. I’ll take you to get a haircut later, then Ethan will come pick us up for dinner.
“Ethan’s been looking for you all these years. He’s been blaming himself the whole time. Now that he’s found you, I know he must be overjoyed.”
A flicker of avoidance crossed Jimmy’s eyes, but he still nodded. “Okay.
“The milk tea’s here!”
The blond kid came over like an enthusiastic waiter, carrying three cups in his arms.
Jimmy took one, poked in a straw, and handed it to Stella. “Here, drink this.”
Then he took another and inserted the straw before sipping from it himself.
“This is the best milk tea I’ve ever had. I’ve never tasted anything like it before. Must be because it was gifted by a fairy!” the blond said with a goofy grin.
*You
got your milk tea, now go home. Stella and I have something to do,” Jimmy said, turning to him.
His tone wasn’t sharp, but there was a pressure in it the blond couldn’t explain.
Even if he couldn’t see Jimmy’s eyes clearly, he could feel it–when the boss got serious, this was what it felt like.
He swallowed the sip of milk tea and smiled awkwardly at Stella. “Okay, I’ll go now!”
He left reluctantly, looking back every few steps.
Jimmy stood up and gave him a swift kick in the rear. He laughed and ran off, rubbing his backside.
Stella could tell this was just how those two interacted, so she didn’t say anything.

“You hungry? Want me to take you to eat something first?”
It was already midday, right around lunchtime.
Jimmy picked up his milk tea. “Sure. Let me go to the bathroom first. Wait here a minute, sis.”
Stella nodded and took out her phone, opening WhatsApp to message Ethan.
“Found Louis. Pick us up after work for dinner!”
At that moment, Ethan was in his office, going through paperwork.

When the WhatsApp notification popped up, he glanced at it–then shock and joy flooded his otherwise indifferent eyes.
Of course. That’s my sister for you.
He’d been searching for Louis for ten years, and Stella had found him in just a few days.
He immediately dialed a voice call, stood up, and grabbed the suit jacket hanging from his chair with the hand that wore a black rosary bracelet.
“Sir, where are you going? Tina asked.
“My sister found Louis!” Ethan’s voice was laced with emotion.
A bright smile lit up Tina’s face. “Congratulations!”
The family was finally coming back together.
All because Stella had returned.
“Hello?”
Stella’s vibrant voice rang
ng out from the phone at his ear.
“Where are you guys? I’m coming to meet you right now!
Ethan was already striding out of the office as he spoke.
“Why are you rushing? Just stay at work. I’m taking him for lunch anda haircut. You can come after you’re done and join us for dinner. He’s not going anywhere.”
Stella’s words were as smooth and reassuring as a sip of water. Ethan stopped in his tracks.
“Alright. Send me the location later and I’ll come pick you both up.”
He had so many questions, but swallowed them all.
They’d talk everything through tonight.
Tina smiled as she watched Ethan obey Stella’s words and return to his desk.
Tll make the dinner reservation tonight. Any preference on cuisme?”
Ethan’s joy was written all over his face. His left hand played nervously with the rosary on his right wrist. “Somewhere quiet Hook a place that serves Stella’s favorites”
