After leaving Stella’s room, Nathan immediately slipped the watch off his wrist and fastened the bracelet in its place.
He lifted his hand, tilting it under the light, studying it from every angle.
Like a child holding a toy he’d dreamed of for years, he trembled with excitement he couldn’t contain
Now that he had accepted Sparkle’s gift, he finally had the perfect reason to give her one in return.
And she would take it–he knew she would

At the Capital Media set, the director’s voice carried through a megaphone. “Cut! Lucas, thank you for your hard work!”
Lucas gave a curt nod and strode toward his dressing room
The night shoot had stretched from dusk until ten o’clock. By the time his makeup was off and he slid into the back of his van, the tension in his shoulders began to ease.
“Lucas.”
Hannah’s gentle voice met him, and he smiled, pulling her into his arms.
“You’ve been waiting for me this whole time, baby. Thank you, he murmured, brushing a kiss against her forehead before trailing his lips lower.
Hannah had made the smart choice in getting back together with him. He’d been buried in work lately, and she’d taken the time to come to the set tonight.
A blush touched her cheeks as she leaned away. “Lucas, there are still people in the car..”
The two assistants exchanged a glance, then silently stepped outside.
Apparently, in moments like these, they didn’t count as “people.”
The door shut, and the air inside grew warmer. Their embrace tightened until sparks threatened to ignite.
With her cheek resting against his shoulder, Hannah let out a soft hum. “Let’s go back to the hotel, Lucas. There are too many people outside!
His voice was low against her ear. “Doesn’t it make it more exciting when there are people around? Besides, I’ve been keeping myself for you all these months. Don’t you want to know what that feels like?”
They hadn’t seen each other in months, and her smile deepened. Lucas must really love her–he was famous for being a flirt, and yet he’d held back for her.
She’d always known Lucas was the better choice compared to Ethan Ethan might be the president of a big corporation, but with no parents, no powerful family, and a sister he clung to like a lifeline, he could be toppled with a single blow
Lucas, on the other hand, wasn’t just a celebrated actor with legions of fans–he was a true heir, a man with wealth and connections that ran deep.
Her pride had kept her away before. After the way she’d been humiliated in public, she had no intention of letting it go. She would pay Ethan back–and that flawless sister of his, too.
She pressed closer to him “Really? I don’t believe you”
Lucas’s grin turned wicked. “You will–when you’re begging me to stop?
Three minutes later.

Hannah’s mouth twitched, but she still managed a coaxing smile. The car isn’t the best place. You did great.”
Lucas rubbed the bridge of his nose. “I’ve been too tired lately. Once I’ve rested. I’ll make it up to y

She lowered her gaze shyly, and they pulled apart. The door opened, the assistants climbed back in, and the van pulled away toward the hotel
Lighting a cigarette, Lucas took a deep drag and checked his phone.
A message from his younger brother, Jackson, popped up:
“You tell me does this girl look like the girlfriend you dated in high school?”
Beneath it was a photo–clear, full–face, no zoom required.
One glance, and Lucas froze.
Those luminous eyes. The graceful arch of her brows. The straight, refined nose.
Memory surged like a tide, and the girl from his high school days overlapped perfectly with the woman in the picture.
If this wasn’t Stella, then who could it be?
He frowned, took another drag, and replied:
“This is her. Where did you get that photo? I told you to focus on your studies. What have you been doing lately?”
Irritation prickled under his skin. Why was his brother digging up pictures of his first love?
Jackson’s response came quickly:
“I didn’t find it–it was on Twitter’s trending page today. Some paparazzi caught her shopping with a CEO.”
It was like a calm sea suddenly erupting into waves. His pulse hammered in his chest.
Impossible. Stella had been dead for over ten years.
“There’s no way that photo was taken today. It has to be some paparazzi Photoshop trick.”
The world didn’t work like that. Something this impossible simply couldn’t be real.
