Tomorrow, she would head to Ashford High School to watch the basketball game. Hopefully, she could run into Louis
Ethan spent the whole day shopping with her, starting at his own mall before moving on to others.
By that evening, a few new hashtags had quietly crept up Twitter’s trending list.
Ethan spotted shopping with a mystery beauty
Ethan and Hannah really a couple?
Mystery beauty’s shopping power is insane
It was the same paparazzo as last time. He had been staking out celebrities in the mall’s underground parking garage when he spotted Ethan, arms loaded with four or five shopping bags, walking alongside a beautiful girl sipping milk, tea,
She looked awfully familiar–probably the same girl from his previous shots.
Abandoning his celebrity target without hesitation, the paparazzo grinned wide and began snapping away at the pair.
Last time, Ethan’s special assistant had been there. Today, this was clearly a one–on–one date.
So that’s why Ethan had been so cold to Hannah the other day–he was more interested in this new flame.
In the world of the wealthy, having multiple women at the same time was nothing unusual. There was always some modern- day palace intrigue playing out around them.
When the camera zoomed in on the girl’s face, the paparazzo was stunned.
First thought: how could anyone’s features be this flawless, like a model perfectly sculpted? Her skin was smooth as porcelain. her teeth bright, her eyes black–and–white clear, sparkling even more than the stars.
Second thought: she looked so young that Ethari, by comparison, seemed almost middle–aged.
After several shots, he couldn’t shake the feeling he’d seen those eyes somewhere before, though he couldn’t recall where.
Their car soon pulled our of the mall, and he followed. He assumed they were heading home–only to find they switched malls and kept shopping
By the end of the day, the paparazzo was exhausted from the chase, while the girl still brimmed with energy.
Ethan was patient throughout, giving genuine opinions on every purchase and dutifully swiping his card.
There was a natural, effortless warmth between them that even the paparazzo found himself rooting for.
When he couldn’t keep up any longer, he returned to his studio and posted the scoop.
The hashtags quickly filled with comments.
“Same old Ethan, new girl every timel
Her face is stunning. But she looks so young
“Shopping from morning till night with that much energy? She’s gotta be a college kid with nowhere else to burn it off.”
“Anyone got her Instagram?”
Hannaly must be heartbroken. The boss found someone new.”
“So it’s really over l
between ruthless Ethan and our sweet starlet? I’m crying”

It wasn’t that the internet had failed–Stella simply hadn’t left a trace in this hyper–connected era. Her Twitter and Instagram were both newly registered, with no posts, used only for scrolling.
Eleven years ago, the internet wasn’t what it is today, and no one thought to dig that far back.
People inside Starlight Group knew, of course, but they protected her. None of them said a word online, and only a few anonymous accounts tried to refute the rumors.
the Salaryman: “Narrow–minded much? A man and woman together doesn’t mean they’re dating.”
Lioness: “Right, they could be family. Calm down, people.”
But no one believed it.
Tina soon heard about the trending hashtags from her secretary and called Ethan.
Ethan was having dinner with Stella at a highly rated snack place.
Stella popped a bite into her mouth.
Ethan said, “Some paparazzi caught us shopping. We’re on Twitter trending now.”
Picking up her phone from the table, Stella glanced at it and said casually, “Just have them take it down.”
No of them was in the entertainment industry, so there was no point in clarifying anything. Doing so would only stir up
more attention. Stella didn’t want too much online exposure.
To Ethan, following her request was an extremely easy. He told Tina. “Take it down.”
Tina hung up and contacted Twitter’s staff.
Within a minute, all three hashtags vanished from Twitter without a trace, as if they had never been there at all.
