Chapter 106 We Owe Him Nothing
It had taken some connections to get him transferred back then.
Looking back now, the principal regretted ever agreeing to it.

That student’s name had been Nathan–and now, the way he gave back to Ashford High made the principal sick with envy.
Didn’t this place count as half a alma mater, too?
Ungrateful!
Ethan didn’t care for the principal’s attitude. His voice was flat. “We’re Jimmy’s family. Just handle the withdrawal paperwork. We’ll speak with Ashford High ourselves.’
The principal gave a once–over to the man in the sharp black suit, then glanced at the beautiful girl who’d come into the office a few moments later.
These two were Jimmy’s rich relatives?
From the mother’s side–the one with mental issues or the father’s?
“The paperwork isn’t a problem, it’s just…”
Ethan and Stella both frowned. Just what?
Wasn’t the school the one who wanted Jimmy gone in the first place?
Now that someone actually wanted to transfer him, why the hesitation?
“Principal, if you’ve got something to say, just say it,” Ethan said coldly, rotating the rosary on his right wrist with his left hand. His presence was quietly intimidating.
The fat principal felt a flicker of pressure but still blinked innocently. “It’s just that, before, Jimmy… he…”
Before he could finish-
There was a knock at the door. Someone spoke urgently from outside. “Sir! It’s bad–Jimmy and Simon are fighting again!”
Normally, a student fight could be handled by a homeroom teacher or the student affairs office.

But this time, it was between one of the school’s untouchables–Jimmy, who didn’t even listen to the principal–and Simon, the principal’s own nephew.
This wasn’t something they could just patch over.
So the teacher had no choice but to come straight to the principal.
The moment he heard it, the principal’s head started to pound.
Truthfully, he couldn’t wait to see Jimmy transferred. A student like that would never amount to anything–he was destined to be a burden on society.
But now, seeing he had wealthy relatives, the principal was suddenly reluctant to let him go.
After all, when Jimmy had knocked out two of his teeth, he had paid for the dental work out of pocket.
Jimmy couldn’t afford it, and his mentally unstable mother had thrown a full tantrum in the
office.
“Where’s the fight happening?” The principal stepped out, tossing a glance over his shoulder at Ethan. “Take a good look at Jimmy can you believe this? Our school is doing him a favor just letting him attend!”
Ethan’s brow twitched, but he didn’t respond.
Stella, however, answered coldly, “Two students got into a fight, and without even understanding the situation, you’ve already decided it’s Jimmy’s fault?”
When she had entered the office earlier, Ethan had already been talking with the principal, so she hadn’t said anything.
But after what Harry told her about Simon–how he was the principal’s nephew and ran around extorting protection money–Stella had already formed an opinion.
There was no way this man didn’t know what his nephew had been doing.
The fat principal frowned. He hadn’t expected this girl–who looked like a high schooler herself to speak to him like that.
“Jimmy dared to hit me,” he scoffed. “What else do I need to know?”
A nearby teacher chimed in, “That kid’s a lost cause. Our principal was generous enough not to press charges–Jimmy knocked out several of his teeth! Bet you didn’t know that, huh?”

The principal raised his chin smugly, thinking, Now they’ll finally apologize.
But neither of them budged.

Stella’s expression was calm. “I haven’t had a chance to ask Jimmy about what happened yet. We’ll talk after I hear his side.”
The principal’s eyes widened.
He was the principal, the teacher standing beside him was school staff–what, now they were saying they were lying?
Parents these days had no respect for educators!
Suddenly, an idea came to him. His eyes flickered, and he said, “Jimmy’s been at this school for two years. He’s always at the bottom of the class, constantly late or skipping, fights all the time, and lies like it’s breathing.”
The teacher added, “Exactly! He lies constantly–his character is seriously flawed.”
Ethan had stayed silent this whole time, but now his patience wore thin. His voice turned icy. “Are you two putting on a comedy show?”
At that moment, it was recess after a major class period, and the hallway outside Class One was packed.
Jimmy and the red–haired Simon had already gotten into it. Both had bruises and scrapes on their faces.
Their lackeys were still going at it, exchanging shouted insults.
Simon’s guy yelled, “Following that little psycho? You’re all brain–dead!”
Jimmy’s friend snapped back, “Bunch of mutts! All bark, no bite!”
By the time the principal, the teachers, and Ethan and Stella arrived, the hallway was so crowded they couldn’t get through.
A teacher shouted, “Move aside! The principal’s coming!”
No one moved.
The principal turned purple with rage. “Get back to class! Did you hear me?”
