Adrian was completely panicked.
His knuckles whitened around the phone, his face draining of color.
Jasmine had changed her identity information?
Was she leaving him for good?
No, it was impossible.
They loved each other so much. How could Jasmine bear to leave him?
Adrian threw the phone down, his eyes bloodshot. He refused to believe Jasmine would really leave.
He left the villa, running into Rosalie, who was carrying a box, her eyes red–rimmed.
“Adrian, this is from Jasmine. What does she mean?” Rosalie trembled, opening the box to reveal a lifelike baby doll, drenched in blood.
A recording pen lay inside. Jasmine’s vicious voice played on repeat.
“Rosalie, you
seduced Adrian. Yo
and your baby deserve to die. I won’t stop my revenge. This time, Adrian won’t catch me.”
Adrian’s face contorted. Hearing the familiar voice, the regret in his eyes gradually faded, replaced by a growing coldness.
Jasmine had changed her information to hide, planning revenge on Rosalie?
He’d rather believe that than that she was
leaving him forever.
“Adrian, how did Jasmine know? She hates me. What should I do? This baby… this baby can’t be born,” Rosalie said, trembling, turning to go to the hospital for an abortion.
Adrian grabbed her, pulling her into his arms.“I’m here. No one can hurt you.”
“Jasmine’s gotten bolder. She’s daring to oppose me,” he said, his face darkening, his unease and fear overwhelmed by anger.
He frowned deeply, glancing at the ruined living room, before leaving with Rosalie, leaving the box containing the bloody doll on the floor.
In a hidden corner, Rosalie smirked, a sinister glint in her eyes.
Fortunately, she’d acted quickly, creating the illusion that Jasmine was hiding to get revenge, causing Adrian to lose faith in Jasmine again, redirecting his attention to her.
Jasmine was gone; she couldn’t be allowed to return.
Adrian took Rosalie to the hospital, staying by her side day and night. She was restless, often waking up from nightmares.
Rosalie’s condition worsened. She couldn’t eat, and the baby was affected.
Adrian was worried. Every day that passed without finding Jasmine heightened Rosalie’s anxiety.
He decided to throw a party, using the announcement of his relationship with Rosalie as bait to force Jasmine to appear and explain everything.
As long as she stopped targeting Rosalie, he would love her as before, ignoring her actions during this time.
On the day of the party, Adrian appeared with a stunning Rosalie, the guests clapping and offering their blessings.
Rosalie, imagining herself as Mrs. Thorne, smiled broadly, happily accepting the congratulations.
Adrian’s face showed no joy; he ignored the well–wishers, his gaze fixed on the entrance.
He was waiting for Jasmine to appear, believing she would come to confront him.
Time ticked by.
Just as the emcee invited Adrian and Rosalie to give a speech, the doors to the ballroom slowly opened.
