Not long after, Luke came back to me. He fell to his knees, his face pale and hollow, his eyes bloodshot. He clenched his fists. and punched himself in the face, over and over, as if punishing himself for his stupidity.M
“Lyra… I was wrong,” he choked out between sobs. “I’m sorry. I should never have trusted Nancy. I should never have hurt you, should never have killed our baby…“N
His shoulders shook violently as he wept, his tears soaking the ground beneath him. “I was blind… I was a fool… I was completely deceived by her. I killed my own child for that snake of a woman.“M
He reached for my hands, gripping them tightly. “Please… please, can we start over? I will love you. I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you.“N
I looked down at him, my heart as cold as ice. There was no pity left inside me. No forgiveness. Without hesitation, I pulled out my phone. With a few taps, I blocked every number, every contact, every trace of him from my life. Then, I turned around, walked into my house and gathered everything he had ever left behind. Every gift, every reminder of his presence, I threw it all out onto the street. I erased him completely from my world. He would never get another chance to hurt me again. My father and I made a decision. Nancy and her mother had manipulated and betrayed us for far too long. It was time to expose them. To make them suffer. To take everything away from them, just as they had taken everything from me. Together, we orchestrated a grand family dinner. Nancy and her mother received the invitation and arrived in their finest attire, unaware that they were walking straight into their own downfall. They thought this was just another gathering. They were wrong. This was their reckoning.N

My father sneered, stepping forward until he was only inches away from her. His voice was sharp, cutting through the air like a knife.
“Get out?” He let out a bitter chuckle. “The ones who should get out are you two.” His glare darkened. “You lying, conniving women. You deceived me for years, played me for a fool!”
The entire room fell into stunned silence. The real show was about to begin.N
“You made me raise another man’s daughter! You made me hurt my own flesh and blood!” His voice roared through the grand banquet hall, echoing off the crystal chandeliers.”
