Chapter 10
The nervousness and anticipation in her heart grew stronger and stronger.
Julian couldn’t help it anymore and called Marcus. The phone rang a few times before Marcus
picked up.
Julian took a deep breath and said in a calm voice, speaking, “Marcus, will Adeline come back this
time?”
Marcus didn’t expect him to ask so. He hesitated and answered, “She has to come back. How can
she not?”
Julian’s heart was relieved a bit. A rare smile appeared on his face.
Since Adeline left, Julian had been searching for her for a long time.
He was brought back home by his elder brother and received a severe punishment. He severed ties
with his family and returned to his home with Adeline on the same day ignoring the whip marks all
over his body.
He restored the broken pieces of decorations one by one.
He carefully protected everything that still retained her scent.
He even bought back the jewelry she angrily sold.
The suite remained the same as when Adeline was there, except for the fact that she was no longer
present.
Julian stood by the window, looking at the construction on the other side of the river. He gave a knowing smile.
“Adeline, we are finally going to meet again. I am determined to make you forgive me and come
back to me.”
Three years were composed of over a thousand days and nights.
Julian was constantly filled with remorse and regret.
He hated himself for not realizing his true feelings earlier. Why did he agree to marry Evelyn just for a piece of land? Why didn’t he firmly choose Adeline? She was the most cherished woman in his
life.
He stopped thinking too much.
He sorted out the gifts he had prepared for Adeline over the past three years. He also prepared a generous gift for Marcus.

After all, Marcus was not just his friend, but also his future brother–in–law. They would be a family
one day.
He had to make thorough preparations.
The Pierce family would not easily agree to his marriage with Adeline, but Julian would prove his determination. He would never lose her again.
After everything was arranged, Julian’s restless heart finally calmed down.
He held the photo cut from Adeline’s passport and smiled gently.
“Adeline, I love you. I’ll give you everything you want. I’ll marry you, and we’ll have children and a happy family together forever.”

At the Pierce’s place.
Adeline wore the wedding dress that Gabriel had brought. She excitedly looked at herself in the
mirror.
“Marcus, how do you think he managed to do it? The measurements are spot on!”
Marcus looked at his sister, who was as beautiful as a fairy. He smiled and proudly said, “So, what do you think? I’ve picked up a good man for you, right?
“Every time I finish a call with you, he has to ask whether you have gained weight or lost weight. I’ve heard that the wedding dress had to be made and altered for over six years.”
“Six years?” Adeline exclaimed, turning back in surprise. “Is that really prepared for me?”
Marcus knew that she had misunderstood. He raised his hand to give a slap. “This is prepared early for the future wife. What are you thinking?”
Adeline lowered her head and shyly smiled. Her heart was filled with happiness.
