Chapter 32 A Kiss
Florence’s eyes narrowed, and she swiftly stepped aside.
Hannah missed her target and, with too much momentum, nearly toppled forward. If she hadn’t grabbed the doorframe in time, she would have hit the floor hard.
Florence stared coldly at Hannah, who was fuming with anger. “Your son hasn’t even signed the divorce papers yet, and he’s already flirting with his mistress in public. Does he even respect me as his wife?”
“I suggest you leave now, or I’ll release the photos of him and his mistress being all cozy online. If that tanks the Morris family stocks, don’t blame me.”
Hannah was at a loss for words, her face turning pale as she glared at Florence. “Aren’t you worried about the fallout for yourself?”
Florence shot back with a blank expression, “Not at all. I can’t wait to divorce him.”
Hannah was shocked. In just a few days, the once–loving Florence had turned so cold. She realized she needed t iscuss this with her husband.
After all, they hadn’t secured the Brooks family fortune yet. Even if her son was to divorce Florence, now wasn’t the right
time.

Hannah left, and Florence watched her go with a cold gaze, feeling no satisfaction.

Florence glanced at the clock and immediately jumped into her car, racing to her dad’s place.
“Dad, I miss you so much.”
The moment Florence saw her father, tears welled up uncontrollably, and she burst into sobs.
William was taken aback by his daughter’s intense reaction. That dream must have really shaken her.
“I’ve only been gone a few days, and you’re crying like a kid. Come on, stop those tears.”
William spoke gently, trying to comfort Florence, unaware that her tears were because, in her past life, she never got to say goodbye.
Florence realized she was overreacting. She took a deep breath to calm herself and asked why her father came back early.
“The overseas deal is signed, so I came back. By the way, why are you thinking of divorcing Albert?”

After a brief explanation, Florence finally got down to business.
He never really liked Albert. In his eyes, Albert wasn’t good enough for his daughter. But she was dead set on marrying him, so he reluctantly agreed.
Who would have thought? Just a couple of days after the wedding, she was already talking about divorce.
Florence told him, “Dad, Albert’s seeing someone else.”
William was furious, “How dare he cheat? Who’s the other woman?”
Florence didn’t answer that. Instead, she said, “That’s not important. I don’t like Albert anymore, and I’m planning to take back the branch company. Don’t worry, I’ll handle it.”
She was definitely going through with the divorce.
Seeing his daughter suddenly all grown up,

He knew she was stubborn. If he tried to interfere, she’d only get
upset.
“Alright, if you need me for anything, just let me know.”
Florence’s eyes were misty again, but this time she held back the
tears.

Seeing her father was tired, Florence suggested he get some rest.
“Oh, by the way, ask Mr. Foster when he’s free so we can all have. dinner together.”
Before bed, William mentioned Charles to Florence.
“Okay, Dad, I got it.”
Florence drove back to the villa, suddenly feeling a headache coming on. Guess she shouldn’t drink so much next time.
After asking Violet for some painkillers, Florence noticed Violet seemed like she wanted to say something.
“Violet, is there something you want to tell me?”
“Ms. Brooks, do you remember how you got back here?”
Florence furrowed her brow, her mind flashing with fragmented images. One of them was Charles carrying her out of a car.
Did she actually kiss Charles on the cheek?
Florence was startled. Was she dreaming?
Her face felt stiff. “Did Charles bring me back?”
