Chapter 11 Charles And Lillian Go Viral
Annabel’s new laptop arrived that evening. She set it up and got to work.
She posted the steamy bathroom video of Charles and Lillian White on X, pushing it right to the trending list.
Both got doxed. As the Shaw family heir, Charles’s scandal crushed the Shaw Group’s stocks. Furious shareholders were losing it.
The Shaw family tried to yank the video, but someone kept it alive. Every time they took it down, new clips popped up, dodging the platform’s moderators.
People were confused but loving it, watching Charles and Lillian’s drama for free.
Rumor had it Charles’s grandfather ended up in the ICU from the shock.
The White family wasn’t off the hook either.
Lillian’s cries rang through
e villa, so loud no one could relax.
Annabel was enjoying the mess when a surprise call came in.
A playful laugh came through the phone. “Annabel, your stepmom’s offering big money to make those posts disappear. You taking it?”
Annabel’s lips curled. “How’d she get to you?”
As a hacker, she routed all her contacts through Mason Cole. Plus, regular people couldn’t even find them.
Mason brushed it off. “No idea.”
He shared Beatrice’s offer. “300,000. Who takes a job that cheap? Thinks we’re some newbie coders?”
“Send me the contact trail,” Annabel said, hanging up.
Her computer pinged with their dark web chat app.
Beatrice: [Please, is this Madame Ann? I need some videos taken down.]
Mason: [one million dollars. No less.]
Silence, then an angry reply. Beatrice: [One million? Why not rob a bank? You’re a tech geek, but not the only one I can find!]
Mason: [No money, no deal.]
Annabel sent the message and logged off. Within an hour, Beatrice came back begging.
Annabel ignored her, closed the c Successfully unlocked! to bed.
The internet went wild. After simmering all day, the scandal blew up. Big accounts

shared the video, throwing insults with full names. Moderators couldn’t keep up.
They tried deleting it, but some genius had coded a loop–deleted clips reappeared in under a minute.
Lots of people bashed Charles and Lillian, but some felt bad for the White family’s eldest daughter, Annabel.
Her lover’s betrayal was practically screaming worldwide.
The next morning, Annabel walked into the dining room. The vibe was heavy, almost suffocating.
Walter White sat at the head, his face serious. Victor and Beatrice sat on either side, heads down, quiet.
Lillian wasn’t there, probably too embarrassed to show up.
“Morning, Grandpa,” Annabel said, unbothered, nodding to the others. “Morning, Dad, Beatrice.”
Victor looked up fast, glaring at Annabel’s calm attitude like it was a personal insult.” Annabel, is this online mess your doing?”
He remembered her pulling up security footage–maybe the house had hidden
cameras.
Annabel cut her egg, her voice steady. “If it was me, I wouldn’t have blurred their private parts.”
Victor choked on his anger, unable to respond.
Beatrice saw Walter’s sharp glance and jumped in. “Honey, Walter, don’t worry–I found a top hacker. They’ll take it all down today.”
Victor relaxed, patting her hand. “You always put the family first, Beatrice. Is this hacker for real? Don’t get scammed.“”
“My cousin vouched for them,” Beatrice said, sounding smug. “You know he knows big shots–even the miracle doctor Orion Steele is his friend.”
Victor’s eyes widened. “Really?”
Orion Steele was a legend, said to save people from death’s door, but hard to reach. He chose patients on a whim.
Beatrice grinned, full of pride. “When Lillian’s older, I’ll have my cousin get her to study under Orion Steele.”
She didn’t know her cousin was all talk–no friend of Steele, not even a meeting.
Annabel ate her breakfast quietly, her mind cool with amusement.
After eating, she went back to her room. Her computer pinged with the dark web chat.

Beatrice: [Madame Ann, sorry about last night. Two million–please take down all the bad videos about the White and Shaw families.]
Annabel: [Two million.]
Beatrice’s reply came, hands shaking. [What? Wasn’t it one million?]
Annabel typed, her face blank. [Another day late, and the price goes up.]
As she sent it, her phone rang.
The caller ID showed Charles.
Beatrice kept bargaining. [Can you lower it? I don’t have that much cash right now.]
Annabel’s phone rang loudly, getting on her nerves. She typed back, annoyed. [Try asking me again tomorrow. I’m sure you wouldn’t like the new price then.]
She wasn’t the one desperate.
Beatrice: [Fine! Two million. I’ll send it before tonight.]
Annabel’s lips twisted in a smirk. Two million, and Beatrice could just cough it up. Now she was sure Beatrice’s hidden funds must be huge.
Annabel: [Money lands, videos disappear.]
Annabel sent the reply, logged off, and answered her phone.
Charles’s irritated voice came through. “Annabel, what’s going on? Why’d you take so long to pick up?”
Annabel’s laugh was icy. “Not taking a shower, that’s for sure.”
Charles got the dig, clenched his teeth, and switched to a softer tone. “Sorry, Annabel, I came on too strong. I got worried when you didn’t answer–thought something was
wrong.”
“What could go wrong with me?” she asked, her voice flat.
Charles sidestepped the question, his tone urgent. “Those online videos are fake- someone’s targeting the Shaw family. You know I love you.”
“To prove it, I’m holding a press conference. Let the world see our love,” he said, his
words smooth.
Annabel was curious to see this “love” between her and Charles.
“Okay,” she said, her voice steady.
Charles’s excitement buzzed through. “I’ll pick you up soon.”
He hung up fast.
At the same time, Mason messaged her–two million had hit the account.
Everyone was in a rush, it seemed. Annabel grinned, her fingers racing over the

keyboard.
In minutes, every video of Charles and Lillian White was gone from the internet.
Upstairs, in the master bedroom, Beatrice sat on the bed, comforting Lillian.
“I got someone to take down the videos,” she said while Lillian was crying, “Tell me the truth–were you really with Charles?”
“No, those videos are fake!” Lillian sobbed, acting deeply hurt.
The proof was clear, but she pushed on. “Tech’s so good now–someone could’ve edited my face. Or maybe they got surgery to look like me!”
Beatrice still had doubts, but Lillian’s puffy eyes and raspy voice melted her. “Okay, I believe you.”
Lillian’s tears masked a burning anger–she wanted Annabel gone for good.
“Mom, this has to be Annabel’s fault!” Her voice cracked, tears falling. “She hates us. Maybe even my brother–she was afraid he’d get the White family inheritance, so she
killed him!”
