Of Course I Raise My Own Daughter! Ch 14
Chapter 14
Gregory and Brianna stood there, each blaming the other for their complete fall from grace.

Once the $50,000 was gone, Gregory had nothing left. Brianna, barely holding onto her last $100,000, wasn’t about to waste it on him. She gave him an ultimatum: find a job, or she’d be done with him too.

So, in what I’m sure he thought was a “generous” gesture, I called up a headhunter to find Gregory a job.

Some time later, I invited Chloe out for dinner. On the way, I found myself humming. Chloe noticed and asked, “What’s got you in such a good mood?”

I grinned. “We’re about to see something pretty entertaining.”

We settled into a private room on the second floor of a restaurant with an open kitchen. From our vantage point, we could see Gregory—who had always been allergic to hard work—now in a chef’s uniform, slaving away in the kitchen.

Chloe raised an eyebrow. “This is it?”

“Just wait,” I said, smiling, urging her to hold on.

A few minutes later, Brianna strolled in with a tall, attractive man at her side. They were chatting and laughing like they were old friends.

Gregory saw them, and his expression immediately froze.

“Brianna? What… what are you doing here?” he called out, looking utterly shocked.

Brianna didn’t even look his way, too busy flirting with her date.

“Brianna!” Gregory called again, louder this time.

Finally, she glanced up, her face dripping with annoyance. “What do you think I’m doing? Eating, obviously. Are you blind?”

Gregory’s gaze flicked to the man beside her. “You… you and him?”

Brianna threw her head back and laughed, her tone sharp. “What’s the problem? Me and Kevin? Is it any of your business?”

Gregory went pale, his world spinning as he processed what she was saying.

“He… he’s…?”

“Yeah,” Brianna sneered. “He’s my boyfriend. Got a problem with that?”

Gregory staggered back, barely able to process it.

“A boyfriend? You… you actually…”

“Yeah, actually,” Brianna shot back, not backing down. “Let me give you the full story, Gregory. I’ve been with Kevin for over twenty years. All that money you’ve been giving me? I’ve been using it to support him!”

She paused, then added with a smirk, “Oh, and George? He’s Kevin’s and mine.”

Gregory’s face went ashen, like the blood had drained from his entire body. He couldn’t move, couldn’t speak. His reality had just been shattered in the worst possible way.

Kevin, standing casually beside Brianna, grinned at Gregory’s complete devastation.

Gregory’s entire world crumbled. The woman he loved had betrayed him. His son wasn’t even his. Everything he had worked for, every sacrifice, had been a lie.

Then, in a blur of rage, Gregory stormed back to his work station, grabbed a knife, and charged toward Brianna.

“You bitch! You ruined me! You ruined everything!” he screamed, his voice hoarse with fury.

Brianna let out a sharp scream as he lunged at her, the blade plunging deep into her side. Blood soaked her clothes almost instantly.
