“Mrs. Sven, what’s happening here?”
“You’re not Nina?” They knew the name Nina Sven but had never seen what she looked like.
The store manager turned to me, desperation flashing across his face. “Madam Chairwoman, I deeply apologize for this oversight!”
His words instantly silenced the women.
The plump woman who had been the most arrogant grabbed the manager’s collar. “What did you just call
her?”
While they didn’t recognize me, they knew one thing crystal clear-the chairperson behind this store was the eal power behind Sven Enterprises.

My name hit her like a thunderbolt. Her face drained of color as her jaw dropped, struggling to form words.
The next moment, her phone rang again.
“What… Mia’s been taken by the police too?!” She collapsed to the floor.

I let out a cold scoff, no longer sparing her another glance.
Soon after, police officers entered. “We received a report of a crime.”
“I made the report,” I said, giving Mia’s mother a pointed look.
The jewelry this lady is wearing consists of auction items I purchased. The value involved is sufficient for riminal charges, wouldn’t you agree?”
The wealthy wives finally realized they’d been played by Mia’s mother all along.
They turned on her, hurling back the same insults they’d just been throwing at me.

I stared at him, my eyes unfathomable.
“James, modern medicine is quite advanced.”
