Chapter 2

At six in the evening, I walked out of the airport with my luggage.

I was going to find out exactly who this so-called “Ms. Sven” was who had appeared out of nowhere.

When I arrived at the company, everyone looked shocked to see me.

“Ms. Sven… you’re back? We had no idea you were returning.”

They all knew I was the true power behind Sven Enterprises.

No matter how decisive and authoritative my husband appeared to be, he was merely borrowing my influence.

The person who truly controlled everything, who had built the Sven empire from the ground up, was th ron-willed woman standing before them.

Honey, why are you back so suddenly?” James looked at me, guilt written all over his face.

He seemed to have rushed from somewhere, and his usually impeccable appearance was marred by wrinkled clothes.

smiled as I straightened his collar, pretending not to notice the faint lipstick mark there.

A strong perfume scent hit my nose-Prada’s newest fragrance, PARADOXE.

Coincidentally, I owned a bottle too, but found the scent sickeningly sweet.

‘New perfume?” I asked with a pointed smile.

Panic flashed in James’s eyes.

‘Oh, it’s our daughter. She’s grown up and into beauty products now. She accidentally dropped her perfu bottle before going out and some splashed on me.”

“That girl is so spoiled,” he added with affection, like a father genuinely doting on his daughter.

“Is that so?” I replied coldly, scrolling through the Instagram profile of this so-called “Sven heiress.”

housekeeper Mrs. Davis’s granddaughter?”

“And don’t tell me they’re similar designs-each piece is one-of-a-kind.”

Sarcasm filled in my eyes.

My assistant had already investigated the girl’s identity: Mia Davis, our housekeeper’s granddaughter.

Apparently, Mrs. Davis had raised her well-she looked polished enough in my daughter’s clothes to pass as

a Sven.

No wonder everyone assumed she was the Sven heiress.

When I showed him the photos, James looked momentarily panicked before composing himself. “Mrs. Davis

s getting older and needed help with some tasks, so Mia came to assist. Mia and Hannah really hit it

off-they’re like sisters. They’ve been living together for the past couple of years.”

Honey, isn’t it normal for girls to share things?” he asked dismissively.

Normal? I nearly laughed out loud.

Sure enough, James’s phone rang moments later.

His expression visibly hardened as he looked at me in disbelief.

Why did you freeze my bank accounts?” he demanded.

stared at him, concealing my anger behind a calm façade. “James, where have you been sending our

laughter’s tuition money?”

Hannah herself doesn’t want to study. She’s even been causing trouble at school,” he claimed.

Ask her yourself if you don’t believe me!”

‘I intend to get to the bottom of this,” I replied before turning to leave.

I knew my daughter’s character better than anyone.

Since she was little, she’d always pestered me to enroll her in music, dance, and art classes, saying they were essential to becoming a “Barbie princess.”

Now in her senior year, she was about to enter her dream art school.

Claiming she didn’t want to study? Complete bullshit.

A few years ago, Mrs. Davis came for a housekeeping interview.

Chapter 2

My daughter absolutely loved her cooking, so I hired her as our live in housekeeper to help take c Hannah’s daily needs.

Then I suffered a relapse of my old illness and had no choice but to leave the company under Jar management.

During that time, James assured me that Hannah was doing well.

He even told me she’d made a good friend-Mrs. Davis’s granddaughter.

Reflecting on all this, I frowned as I unconsciously made my way home.
