Chapter 90
“Ms. Cummings,”
Just as she was feeling uneasy, Suzanne suddenly stood in front
of her and took her hand familiarly. “You still remember me,
right?”
Lottie nodded. “I remember”
Lewis’s secretary.Others might be surprised. A person as
unreasonable as Lewis should be able to distinguish between
public and private matters. It was impossible for him to date a
subordinate.
However, Lottie knew that he was a person who did as he
pleased.
When he was willing to dote on someone, he could even be that
person’s subordinate, let alone be by his side.
He had the ability to pamper people to the point of being
lawless.
And then…
He fell heavily again.Suzanne’s attitude was very friendly. “I’ve
heard before that Mr. Pollard has a younger sister. I didn’t
expect it to be you.”
“Well…”
Lottie did not know how to continue. “I didn’t expect it either.”
Her voice was a little soft and Suzanne did not hear her clearly.
He smiled and asked, “What did you say?”
“Nothing.”
Lottie could feel that Suzanne really wanted to build a good
relationship with him.A long time ago, before Lewis abandoned
her, there was no lack of girls who tried to please her.
Because she was Lewis’s younger sister. Whoever wanted to get
close to Lewis, she was that shortcut.
But now, her relationship with Lewis was even worse than that
of ordinary friends.
There was no need for Suzanne to please her.
Perhaps sensing her alienation, Suzanne smiled and did not say
anything else.
When the birthday banquet ended, Lottie wanted to leave, but
Erin stayed behind to send the guests off.By the time she

finished sending off the guests, the familiar Maybach was long
gone.
The housekeeper explained unnaturally, “Big Mrs. Mathis ate the wrong thing and had some allergies. Nigel sent her to the
hospital.”
“Got it.”
Lottie rejected the butler’s suggestion to arrange another car
and left on his own.
Instead of finding an excuse to get out of the car and return to
Fairmont Avenue, it was better to take a taxi now.
“Lottie?“Just as she left the villa area and was about to hail a taxi
on the main road, a Bentley slowly drove over. The window of
the backseat rolled down, and Suzanne frowned at her. “Are
you going back alone at night? Where’s Mr. Mathis?”
Lottie tilted his head. When he saw Suzanne, he also saw Lewis
sitting beside her.
The man was pretending to be asleep with his eyes closed. His
eyes were deep and his side profile was cold and hard, as if he
did not care about what Suzanne said.
Lottie said, “He had something urgent and left first.”

“Then get in the car quickly. We’ll send you back together.”
Lottie refused. “No need. I’ve already gotten a taxi…““Alright, it’s
not safe for a girl like you to take a taxi at night. Your brother
will be worried.””
Suzanne did not allow her to refuse. He got out of the car and
opened the front passenger seat for her before pushing her into
the car.
The main driver was Josef.
In the back row were Lewis and Suzanne.
She was in the passenger seat.
Lottie felt that something was wrong. It seemed that she had
become the child of the family of three again?
Before she could think further, Suzanne said with a smile, “I’m
three years older than you. You don’t mind if I call you Lottie
along with your brother, right?”
Lottie went silent.
Suzanne thought that she minded and immediately said, “Sorry,
next time I’ll still…”
“It’s okay. You can call me whatever you want.”
However, Lewis would not call him that.Suzanne heaved a sigh
of relief. He sat in the back row and quietly looked at Lewis,
who had not even opened his eyes.
For some reason, he felt that these two were indeed siblings.
They were all taciturn.
Her personality was indescribable, but she always gave off the
same feeling.
After that, the entire journey was very quiet.
Lottie felt that every second felt like a year. Even the rhythm of
his breathing was not that natural.Even during the review,
when Suzanne pushed her into the car just now, why didn’t she
react faster?
When she saw Scenic Ridge’s building from afar, she wanted to
urge Josef to increase the oil.
Just as he had this thought, all the cars in front of him turned on
their brake lights.
It was late at night and there was a traffic jam.
“Is the wine at the birthday banquet poisoned tonight?”
In the back row, Lewis’s ambiguous voice suddenly
sounded. Without prejudice, his voice was the best Lottie had.
ever heard. It was deep and mellow, but also a little lazy.
