Alexis‘ competition date was getting closer and closer.
For some reason, Maddie was even more anxious than him. She sat in the studio, quickly sketching with a pencil on paper.
She was determined to design a unique performance costume for him.
The whole set of dresses has been completely designed, but Maddie wants to add a unique touch to make this dress the most outstanding presence.
“How about embroidering a sentence with silver thread here?”
She murmured to herself, lightly rubbing the neckline on the design drawing with her fingertips, completely unaware that someone had silently approached behind her.
“What were you drawing?”
Alexis bent down, her breath brushing past her earlobes.”
Maddie was startled and quickly covered the blueprint.
“Secret! You are not allowed to look!”
Maddie looked as cute as a bunny, which made Alexis laugh.
He gently kissed her forehead.
“Okay, I didn’t look.”
“I came to bring you supper. It’s so late and you’re still not leaving. I’m

earlier, okay?”
Upon hearing his reassuring words, Maddie obediently nodded,
opened the package, and enjoyed this delicious late–night snack with Alexis.
Just after finishing dinner, Maddie was clearing the tableware when Alexis suddenly noticed the design sketch at the corner of the table. Taking advantage of her distraction, Alexis quickly reached out and snatched it away.
“Alexis, you cheated!!”
He discovered that Maddie, whom he wanted to peek at, reached out to grab the blueprint, but was lifted high by Alexis.
He pulled her into his arms and laughed brightly and wildly.
“Let me see… Hmm? This is…”
His voice suddenly stopped.
On the blueprint, a set of neatly tailored tailcoats leaped off the paper, with small musical notes embroidered at the cuffs.
And inside was a line of French embroidery, symbolizing my great artist.
Seeing her hidden thoughts being discovered by him, Maddie blushed shyly.
“I told you not to look at it…”
She snatched the blueprint away and hid her shy ears.

The next moment, she was embraced by him, with his hand holding the back of her head as he kissed her deeply.
On the day of the competition, Paris’s largest art theater was packed with audience.
Alexis finally put on the evening gown that Maddie had designed for him, and stepped onto the internationally renowned stage.
His slender fingers leaped continuously on the black and white keys of the piano, pouring out beautiful melodies. Maddie sat in the front row of the audience seats, nervously clenching her five fingers silently.
After all the contestants had finished competing, the judges announced the final scores.
“The champion of this year’s International Piano Competition – Alexis!”
Amidst thunderous applause, Alexis stood on the stage and delivered the award–winning declaration.
“In this game, I want to thank a lady sitting in the audience, because without her, there would be no me today.”
He then walked towards the audience holding the trophy, and under the spotlight, he held Maddie’s hand.
“Because my lover is my lucky charm.”
Facing away from the crowd, Maddie saw the embroidery on his collar – my great artist.
Maddie’s tears splashed onto the back of his hand, kissing him deeply.
The competition ended, and the crowd dispersed.

Late at night, on the Seine River, Alexis slowly walked back with a tired Maddie on his back, as if the whole world had only the two of them left.
Maddie’s high heels were held by Alexis in his hand, while she happily kicked her feet on his back.
“My great artist worked hard, congratulations on winning the award.”
Alexis smiled gently and thanked her, lifting her up slightly.
“Maddie, the night sky was so beautiful tonight…”
The street lamp stretched the shadows of two people very long, until they finally merged with the river water, forming a ripple.
