“If I quit, he’ll stop targeting you and the company. This way, your company, which you built from scratch, will be safe.“}
“So that’s what you were thinking.”
Jackson chuckled, “I appreciate your concern for me. But there’s no need for you to resign.“>
“But the company is on the brink of bankruptcy.“}
“Don’t listen to those rumors. They don’t know what they’re talking about.”
Seeing my disbelief, Jackson patiently explained, “Yes, the company was struggling recently. But I’ve reached out to some old friends from college, and through them, I’ve connected with CEOs of several publicly listed companies. They’re all powerful and willing to help me through this tough time.”
“Really?”
“I spent fifteen years building this company. Do you think I’d joke about something like this?”
I was overjoyed. “That’s great news.”
“When you get back, focus on your work and deliver results. In due time, I’ll send you on assignments to gain more experience, which will be very beneficial for your future.”!
