Chapter 8
“Papa, he was a good man, he did disowner her, remember. He wont be mad you shot her he almost did it before she kidnapped me she tried to get money from him instead she brought us there to Wolf MC. I’m in pain papa.” Someone gave me a shot and I layed down and passed out. I know I will miss the visit but it’s not my fault.
A couple of days later I woke up and Ghost and his team were sitting there and so were my friends. Ghost hands me a water well Star makes a cup of hot tea then helps me shower well Ghosts hold me up then after he cares me out and sets me back on the bed i say. “So what did I miss?”
“Well lets just say they were pissed we don’t know what happened after we sent them to Wolfs MC.” Then my old phone got a message and it was them saying we got them and they are going to military school till they are 18. Missy is pissed but Wolf MC said they will keep her in line. I would love to see that happen. She will twist the story and someone will believe her and will say it’s all my uncle’s fault for not telling her the truth that he will be in charge not dad. Damn gold digger. “Well now we know.”
Looking around the room for the first time I woke up I saw cream colored walls with dragonfly trim at the top. There was a counter with cabinets above it. There is a couch on the opposite wall and a chair on each side of a bed. You can see my Nana decorated the room. “Can I be in a chair now? I can sit up in bed. I can sit in a chair. I know you got one that will keep my leg straight.”
“Yes, let me get you dressed, then I will have Panther bring it in and he teched it to you.” Ghost says.
“ok brother you know best and I know I need better clothes to leave this room in. Do I have a long sundress and leggings that I can cut that I can wear? Ghost the blanket you got me should be in the trunk I have that goes in my room. Can you ask someone to find it? It’s perfect for my legs right now.” I might as well let them have their way without arguing. I can’t use crutches with my heart healing from getting nicked with a bullet. I hate acting like I don’t see the disdain in some of their eyes.
Ghost said “of course” then Star left to find everything. She must have been the one to unpack my room. I didn’t notice that everyone was leaving. Now it was just me, Ghost and Papa who came in when they were leaving.

I know that look they have something to tell me and it’s bad. “ok guys spit it out I’m worse than you you said at first aren’t I.”
Ghost holds my hand while Papa talks. “Yes Princess, you went to sleep after waking up and slept a week after your surgery. Your heart will be weak for quite some time so we will keep you guarded by your brother and his men plus I will have a team that can’t be seen to step in if things get out of hand. The school is aware and we are giving them a lot of money for the teachers to let you do online since your heart is compromised. They said they would do it either way but I noticed they needed new computers so we did anyway. Getting your legs going is going to have to wait till your heart can handle it but Tann and Star are taking Physical therapy courses so she can help you. We don’t want anyone we have not vetted around with your health problems.” There’s a look in their eyes but it doesn’t look good. I can’t quite figure out why they hate me so much or why they pretend to be family. The hate is there I see it. They don’t hide really well.
“Well damn that bitch really was trying to kill me. Well, I guess we will all have to work together and I will follow the rules. Can we still have weekly BBQ and family dinners at night? I know Nana doesn’t plan on moving out till I’m better. Honestly papa, I’m tired of being alone. Having everyone here will be
nice.”
“Well, glad to hear your uncle got the property to the left and I got it to the right and behind you to the river we are moving bases. The Phoenix MC as well but they are across the street. Deacon is happy to have us; he knows we will protect you and won’t let bad things happen in the city.”
“I love you guys and I love the sound of that.”
Papa says “I love you too, let’s get you dressed. I know you don’t want us to but I need to see the incisions and the brand now that it is healed all the way.”
I took my shirt off. I have a bandage on my chest so no one can see much anyway. Just then Panther walks in and blushes, he is the youngest in the group but still 4 years older than me, then gets mad and walks over and looks at the brand “I know who it belongs to.”
“yeah me too and after I get my laptop his dad is being sent one hell of a surprise.”
I slipped my dress over my head after papa was done with his pictures. Then Panther lifted me carefully and kissed the top of my head and said “you saved us with your letters now we protect you. We all love you and won’t let anyone hurt you again.” then they put my leggings on after Ghost cuts them so i can put them over the cast. Then I was put in my chair and they opened the door and pushed me out. Can’t strain my body too much. Good thing I like to draw.
