“Oh my I can’t believe it, did you hear her James? They love us and we are family. Dove cut us off from our family. They would have taken us from her so she used your grandfather to keep us away from them. Can we call them that?”
“Yes of course Wizard just finished setting up phones for both of you and bracelets that will tell us if you need us you only have to push a button with your fingerprint and it will call us. no one can take it from you either. It will shock someone who tries to take it off without a key except you again with your fingerprint.”
They both hugged us and thanked us then went to find him to get the phones. He has computers for him too but he did that not me so it is his surprise it has all they need for their farmers market too. We set people up for success here they can stay or leave.
“Alec, I got the land next to us and it goes as far back as this side. Can we go to our office? I want to show you what I came up with before ass hat shows up plus my leg hurts”
“Do you want me to rub it while you show me? We haven’t done the physical therapy massages in a while because you didn’t need it till now. I know the bullet messed with things, maybe we should ask forest to look at it. Maybe they missed something on purpose so you had to use a cane? You know you are supposed to call me by my road name.”
“If Twisted pushes it now that you are with his MC I will start calling him Albert. I’m in charge here, not him. I will call you Panther over there or when it is for the MC you know that so don’t worry so much. he knows this comes first that’s why you have nomad status it’s just so your dad can’t mess with you. We have your back too. I’m trying to keep us ahead of the game. I have a cut to just in case Deacon is involved, so does Star and Tann. here tomorrow.”
“Damn Ice when did you do all that we share a room with? I mean I sleep on the couch but I never see you on your phone.”
“I send emails from my phone and chat. It’s great being a mafia boss. I don’t have to leave this compound under the pretense of heart surgery to get it done. I just want us all safe.” We get to the office and I sit on the couch with my leg across the seat. I grabbed my computer and the files made earlier while he was in a meeting.
“So I have an idea and I think it will help as a cover for our rescue base. People wont think we are bringing rescues her way. Actually what Eve and James asked to do is what gave me the idea. What if we make it look like it’s all fields most of the way to the river then build cabins in the forest so the trees hide them. They can help till they are ready to leave and we pay them and then we sell it out front. They get independence. We can set up gyms and do self defence. We have so much land and all the businesses I own, some being gun sales, why not put it to helping people? Do I have a big heart? what do you think you are my logical thinker im more the dreamer. I mean I can be logical but not about this.”
Alec is rubbing my leg. It was under my knee. I got hit and it hurts sometimes. “Slow down Layla actually you thought it all through this time i’m sure i will have to do the numbers and stuff but thats my part anyway. let’s call Eve and James in here we still have an hour before he gets here.”
