They found 10 in this room and 3 were placed right near each other and it was near where I sit so the chair with all its electrical stuff and speakers was picking up on it. “Kevin, I want a team you trust and you are hired to check everywhere else.” I pull up the tablet I carry around and Panther is right next to me while I look and I see 3 of our guards coming in while we are asleep and putting in all rooms but the rooms they couldn’t get to without waking them up. My monitor is going nuts. I feel a little dizzy but not enough to pass out. “Get them and Mike and Rick here now.” Then I wheel in my room and load up my chair with my arsenal.
I rolled into the living room and I scared the couple “I’m wearing this to protect you not to hurt you. He has a traitor or 2 around here and I’m still fleshing them out but you see the people in this room. They are the team I made. They will protect you with their life just like I would now here comes our company. You guys can go into my room right there if you want. While we talk to them you will see everything on the TV and no one will know you are there.”
“We will stay here.”
“Ok I wanted to ask if you would like to live in a tiny home made just for you two. You will also have rooms of your choice here. You can garden, cook or do nothing. I just want to help you. If you have something you want to do we will help with it. We have someone looking into the pension thing. His name is Wizard. He isn’t here yet but we sent him all your info and he will find us everything that happened.”
Evelyn spoke for the first time since she has been here with a small smile “what about a farmers market we can set up out front so we will still be safe. We love to garden. I also love to cook. I know you have a cook but I can help. I can sew and clean. We will do whatever work you want us to do.”
grab her hand and tell her “we can do that and we will set it all up. The only work you will do is what you chose to do. No one in this place can make you do anything. Well they can make you go to the bunker for safety but that’s all. You can pick where you want the garden and your house will be close to
mine.”
James says “can we just stay in this house with you we won’t cause any harm but we want to take care of all of you just like you are taking care of us. You don’t know us and you have done more than Dove has ever done for us. We are so grateful to you all.”
“Panther what do you think? Do we have a room on the bottom floor open?” I ask.
He nods and says “we will get started on that when you are healed and get the all clear from the doctor sound good”
Evelyn jumps up and hugs all of us “you can call me Eve if you would like and you will all be our grandchildren.”
We all hugged her and then I said “if you guys want to explore I will have Kevin give you one of the guards that were backgrounded and interviewed by us and not my uncle and grandfather. It seems they need to clean up their staff of many traitors. Kevin, will you also give them a tablet with the feed so they can see what they have to say? I don’t want them to feel like we are lying at any point. I think it’s a good idea to keep them away from you for now” as they walk out my complicated family walks in.
“Princess, why are you all decked out like that? What happened? I just took Dove next door.”
“Sit down, I want to know who on your team can’t be trusted and how far it goes. Here watch what they did.” They watched as the men they said I could trust bugged my home. Only my uncle looks surprised.
“Kevin no longer works for you uncle so he will be checking all of the people you and Mike said could be here and Mike are you in my grandfather’s pocket too. Oh don’t look so offended I didn’t think it was possible but Kevin said trust no one not even you. I don’t think I was meant to hear it so please tell me
why your son wouldn’t trust you.”
Uncle Rick was in shock. He’s not involved but he needs to see he is losing control. He is too soft for this job, that’s why we keep having issues.
Mike answered “Yes, your grandfather paid me. He said he was worried about you so I didn’t believe it but then he threatened to kill me.”
Uncle Rick yelled, “I’m in charge of you, not that old bastard. why did you betray her and me you knew he wanted her money what did he promise you?”
“Nothing” we know he is lying. I look at Kevin. I will never hurt his dad until he gives me the go ahead. He looked pissed and nodded. I feel bad he just lost all respect for his dad. So I threw a knife and it went between his legs. He is one of my uncles and he gets a warning first.
I said “I know you were my father’s brother and didn’t tell me that was a warning for the blood relation the next one is in flesh now start talking.”
“Ok he offered me 1 million and a house in the mountains of Washington.” jok
“And what of your son?” I asked.
THe had a good job with you. I didn’t think he would be in danger” he said.
I threw another one in his leg. He screamed so I yelled “keep screaming and I will do it again. Did you really think he wanted to protect me or is that what you tell yourself? He would kill Kevin to get to me and you know it. I can’t believe you sold us out. Hell you sold him your own son why do you think the amount was so high you fool. Kevin put your dad in our cells and get Dove and put her here so I don’t trust Rick’s team.”

I took a deep breath and while the took him away “fuck now theres blood on the floor. Rick gets your house in order are you in charge or grandfather. Everyone is so willing to go behind your back that maybe you aren’t tough enough. I want all your men off my property; they can’t be trusted. Twisted already fixed the MC but what have you been doing playing around. You keep saying you are protecting me but I was kidnapped and raped. I will be asking Mike why he texted Kevin that night and told him to leave and then he came late. We have been investigating a lot of things and it all comes back to men you can’t keep in line.
