Chapter 12
Papa walks in and says “I go take care of business for 2 hrs and come back and you all are upsetting her now do as she says before you give her a heart attack I can’t believe you two. I could hear you both in the damn yard. Oh and Ghost don’t play tricks like she hurt your foot when we both know you have on steel toe boots.”
He just gave me the perfect chance to openly investigate him “Are you fucking kidding me? How could you Ghost? You know my heart can’t handle getting too excited. Do you care for me at all? I see you looking annoyed that you are here and I heard you on the phone asking if I die where does my money go? Did they tell you it goes to Star, same with my shop and compound. Just what in the hell are you aiming for? Papa you might want to look into who the hell he has been dealing with. This doesn’t sound like a brother that loves and wants to protect me.” I can’t wait till this old fart messes up and I don’t have to pretend to care.
“Why the fuck are you asking about your sisters money?” Nana asked.
Ghost said “because dad you gave most of it and it’s unfair.”
“oh so i get abused for years and then raped and its unfair that you got sent away feel luck you weren’t around. That bitch would have tried to sleep with you too when you were 14 just like she did all the boys around. So what are you gonna kill me for? Do you feel like you deserve what is mine? Because I survived even though they wanted me to die? How do other boys who I wrote feel about me?” I see Shooter, and Speed looks pissed.
“We have no problem with you, we didn’t know he was looking into your money or that he was going to hurt you.” Shooter and Speed said smiling like they were on the winning side.
“Since you want me dead I’m dead O you. Once Papa takes you out of this gate I’m changing the code and it will link to my phone so I can let people in. Other than sitting with a look like someone pissed in your cheerios and texting on that phone you haven’t tried to get to know me at all. I am done playing your dumb game. I don’t care anymore. So bye.”
Ghost starts to lunge at me and Lady bites him and Star pulls a gun and so does the Shooter while Speed and Panther pins him to the ground. Papa says “Ghost we raised you better than this.” Oh yes old fart that will teach him.
They stand him up so I can look at him, He yells “She’s not dads.”
I started to laugh so much it hurt my chest. “Are you really that stupid I ran all of your DNA without anyone knowing. Now I want to know who said I
wasn’t.”
“I got an email from missy that said Uncle Rick slept with mom and that’s why they broke up”
I started laughing even more “you didnt need her you just needed a reason to be fucked up because you got sent away because of HER I might add dumb ass you did a great job losing a sister do to your own greed.” I pulled a gun out and sh
his leg and shoulder.
He will be lucky if he can still ride a motorcycle, “now tell me does it feel worth it to have not been sent away that’s only some of the pain I felt. Be happy I dont have someone beat and rape you like Missy made sure happen to me. Leave now and never return. It’s up to Panther, Shooter and Speed to go with you but I’m sorry guys if you stay no more Ghost. I can’t always wonder what you are telling him. Panther says “no this is not what we were taught or what we think so i will be back what i said that day about you saved us we meant it even if Ghost didn’t. We will take him out and come back. You can send Tanner to watch if you would like. We won’t hover just guard.” He doesn’t look at me when he says it so I don’t know he is telling the truth. I hope he doesn’t turn on me like Ghost did. They are really close.
“Ok, I’m starting to feel dizzy. Please get him out of here.” I say and you can hear the weakness in my voice and I hate it. Never Show Weakness, that’s what training taught me.
Then I lay the gun on my lap and start to cry. Star climbs in my bed and holds me. Kevin puts my gun nightstand then joins us while Papa makes everyone leave. I can hear him telling Nana she should have waited to yell at Ghost.
Tann comes back with hot tea and junk food and puts on How I Met Your Mother. “Thank you guys for always having my back. Kevin, do you still want to be a bodyguard or do you have bigger dreams? I have a tattoo shop and the tattoo artist Tat can teach you if you want or anything else. I will pay for it.” I sent the lawyer a text with a video of what happened and told him to warn him if he tries again we will take everything he isn’t supposed to get a chance after trying but I’m hoping he will change.
“I think I would like to take Tech classes. Hacking and stuff. It will help with what we do and I love computers” Kevin said
“Tann, will you set him up for classes? You can still be a bodyguard so you have money for whatever you want.” I said.
Kevin smiled and hugged me “thank you!!!”
“Oh don’t thank me just yet we will put you to work and you will become the best. We will make our own agency that protects people and takes on things others won’t. I mean there’s already 4 of us.”
