Chapter 20
The next day
Tracie went to the bank to exchange currency. She had a
business visa and needed to prepare her money ahead of time
since her trip was just a week long and her schedule was tight.
Before entering the bank, she ran into Tyron.
Tyron was chatting and laughing with someone as they walked
- in. When he saw Tracie, his smile instantly faded, turning into a
cold scowl.
He turned to the person he was with. “Go ahead, I need to handle
some personal business.”
The person entered the bank, and Tyron walked toward Tracie,
his presence intimidating. “Listen, Tracie,” he began aggressively,
“I didn’t warn you yesterday because of the crowd, but it’s not
too late now. Stay away from Juliana and her boyfriend. Don’t
harass them, or else…”
“On what grounds do you think you can order me around?”
Tracie’s tone was calm and steady.
“I don’t need any grounds,” Tyron shot back. “I’m going to bully

you, crush you, until you’re on your knees in front of Juliana, apologizing, and then just disappear. I don’t want you anywhere
near her, your stink might rub off on her. What are you going to
do about it?” His words were harsh and direct.
It was clear he thought he could get away with this because he
perceived her as weak.
“You must have brushed your teeth this morning,” Tracie said
suddenly.
“What?” Tyron was caught off guard.
“You must have brushed your teeth, or else your breath would
be worse. But with that foul stench you’ve got, it’s like you’ve
been eating shit. How is it that Princess Juliana hasn’t been
completely poisoned by you yet?” Tracie said coolly, then turned
and walked into the bank.
Did she fear Tyron?
Of course, she was afraid. Anyone in her position would be.
But Tracie knew that being afraid wouldn’t change a thing.
She might as well confront him head–on.
If Tyron dared to threaten her, she’d make sure to take him down with her, leaving nothing behind but a bloody mess if

necessary.
Before entering, Tracie glanced back at Tyron, who was frozen
in place.
For once, it was him who was taken aback.
He had always been the one to bully her, but now, she was
standing up to him.
Still stunned, he saw her turn back and glare at him, and the
venom in her eyes was unmistakable. It was like she was a
vengeful ghost determined to destroy him.
‘She wasn’t the one always trying to worm her way into the
high society, always acting like a dog licking up to people like
- me. How dare she hate me with such intensity?‘
Tyron shuddered.
Tracie had already gone inside.
After exchanging the currency, she bought her flight tickets and
took care of a few other last–minute things for her trip abroad.
Before she knew it, it was Saturday.
At 9 AM, Tracie woke up Mandy and Rico, both still lounging in
bed.
Chapter 20
After they finished getting ready and having breakfast, Tracie
drove to a small village in the suburbs of Truatol. Decades ago, it
had been a large village mostly populated by the Everett family.
Now, many of the younger people had moved to the city, and
only a few elderly people remained.
The area was peaceful with beautiful scenery, but it felt quite
deserted.
Tracie had tried many times to convince her grandmother to
move to the city. With her own financial means, she could easily
buy her grandmother a second–hand apartment, but her
grandmother always refused.
She preferred the calm and convenience of living in the
mountains.
As Tracie drove into the village, she saw her grandmother
standing by the entrance, eagerly waiting for her.
Before the car even stopped, her grandmother was already
jogging toward her. As soon as Tracie got out of the car, her
grandmother asked, “Where’s my son–in–law? And my great-
granddaughter?”
