“What do you mean?” I asked.
The assistant pulled out her phone, opened Instagram, and handed me the photo. Right there on the screen, a photo of Maisie and Luca, fingers laced, walking hand in hand.

I knew exactly who the “you two” were: Luca and the child in her womb.}]
