Chapter 88
Sean even said that any woman his brother touched, he wanted to try as well–just to taste the flavor.
Everyone in the crowd had seen it with their own eyes.
Sean’s face flushed red, then turned pale. He looked around nervously, clearly panicking as he tried to defend himself.
“T–That’s not how it happened! This video–it’s fake! She edited it! It’s all fabricated!“}]
The moment he started crying, Regina’s heart melted.§
All logic went out the window.
She hugged him tightly and started yelling at the police.
“Sean is the kindest, most innocent boy I know. He would never do something like this! You’re all mistaken!“}
let out a cold laugh. “Whether the video is fake or not, the hotel lobby’s got surveillance. Let’s pull the footage and see who’s lying.”
The moment those words left my mouth, Sean froze. His expression stiffened visibly.
The police quickly called over hotel staff, who pulled up the surveillance footage.
Sure enough, it showed Melissa arriving first–and Sean followed her shortly after.
There was no sign of coercion, no signs of being tricked.
Regina’s face was drained of color inch by inch.
Melissa turned to her with a calm smile, waving her phone with the recorded video.§
“Girl, I didn’t think your taste in men was this… unique.“}
“How about I send you this video? You can watch it at home whenever you feel nostalgic.“}
Regina felt completely humiliated. Without even sparing Sean a glance, she stormed out in a rage.”
But Sean stumbled after her, calling out pitifully. “Regina, wait! Please believe me–it was all their fault! They forced me to do it!”
Still, the police arrested him on the spot.
Melissa had reported him immediately upon his arrival. The charge was sexual harassment.”
And with all the video evidence in place, there was no escape.}
On the way back, I teased Melissa, “Really? A guy throws himself into your arms and you don’t even flinch. Was it because he’s not handsome enough for your standards?“}
She looked at me with unusual seriousness. “No.”
“Huh?” I blinked, caught off guard.”
Melissa pulled the car to a gentle stop, turned, and wrapped her arms around me.
“Because in this world,” she said softly, “other than you, I don’t want anyone else.“>
“Denver-“2
“I love you.”
I smiled genuinely.
In my memory, Melissa had always been the quiet type.§
Soft–spoken, low–key, someone who blended into the background.
In college, she would silently reserve a seat for me in the lecture hall. She’d buy me breakfast, but never say it was from her.
So I assumed, like a fool, that the one doing those sweet things was Regina.”
And so, through mistake after mistake, I gave my heart to the wrong person.
In my past life, I ruined everything->
even my future–because of that mistake
But this time… this time, I got it right.

Meanwhile, Regina had never felt so humiliated.
She thought she had escaped an arranged marriage and followed her heart by choosing Sean.
But now.., that same man had done something utterly repulsive.
She drowned herself in alcohol–bottle after bottle, trying to numb the pain.
Drunk and shattered, she replayed the video over and over again.
She watched Sean stalk Melissa.
Watched him drug the wine. Watched him knock on her hotel room door with that sleazy smile.
Watched him deliberately flirt and seduce her.
Her eyes burned red, on the verge of madness.
This wasn’t the man she knew
In her eyes, Sean had always been gentle and pure–the type who wouldn’t even step on an ant.
