again and just quietly cared for me.
One day, he summoned me to the palace. I thought he was going to give me another gift, and on the way there, I endured countless teasing and suggestive looks.
Little did I know–this time, he truly had a grand gift for me.
He led me down to the underground dungeon, where traitors of packs were judged and tortured. There, chained to iron stools
by silver shackles, were Father and Mary.
“The Alpha King ordered me to deal with these two traitors who colluded with the enemy and harmed the Ulverngard pack,” Waylon explained after he noticed my confusion.
“But I figured you’d want to punish them more than I do,” he added.
With a hatred–filled heart, I picked up a dagger and stabbed it into Mary’s chest. Her tongue had already been ripped out, and
she trembled in terror as she stared at me.
Isneered. “When you tortured my mother until she jumped from that building, she trembled just like this.”
Vivid memories of the wonderful times I spent with my mother flashed across my mind. It was because of these two people that my mother had died!
I could no longer hold back my tears, and the dagger slipped weakly from my hand.
Waylon, heartbroken, gently helped me up. He picked up the dagger and placed it back in my hand.
