My Husband’s Secret Wife And Their Stolen 5

Chapter 5

Edmond wasn’t there. And without him around, Blanche didn’t bother to pretend anymore. Her face was painted with

smugness.

“Why should I?” she sneered. “Are you blind? My son is the one who’s injured!”

“He just scraped his knee! My daughter has a clotting disorder! If we wait any longer, she could die!” Amelia’s voice cracked, raw with grief and desperation.

A doctor, drawn by the shouting, stepped cautiously into the room.

“What’s going on here? If we have enough RH-negative blood, maybe we can split it between-”

Amelia clung to the words like a lifeline. She turned to the doctor, voice shaking uncontrollably.

“Please, I’m begging you. My daughter needs RH-negative blood. She’s still in the emergency room-if we wait-”

Blanche cut her off with a loud scoff and rolled her eyes.

“Doctor, you do know who my husband is, right? Mr. Robinson-the hospital’s biggest shareholder?”

“He gave the order. All the RH-negative blood goes to my son. Or do you want to lose your job?”

That was the moment something inside Amelia snapped. She lunged forward and yanked the blood bag from the IV

stand.

“You mad bitch! You’re stealing my son’s blood?!”

Blanche screamed, stamping her feet like a child throwing a tantrum. “Security! Someone get security! She’s trying to steal my son’s life-saving blood!”

Security burst in and immediately restrained Amelia, gripping her arms tight. Blanche strutted over like a victorious peacock, ripped the blood bag from Amelia’s hands, and clutched it to her chest.

“She tried to steal from my son! Get her out of here!” she shouted at the guards. “Drag this psycho out right now!”

They forced Amelia out of the room as she kicked and screamed, her voice raw with fury.

“The blood bank had enough-she just won’t share! I’m calling Edmond-now!”

Just then, the hospital director arrived, drawn by the commotion. He heard Amelia’s last sentence and frowned deeply.

“Wait a second,” he said. “Which one of you is Mrs. Robinson?”

Blanche didn’t hesitate. She raised her phone and shoved it in the director’s face, displaying a digital copy of a marriage license.

“Take a good look. I’m Edmond Robinson’s legal wife. It’s registered with the courthouse. Our son, Finn, is his only real

child.”

Her eyes gleamed with venom as she glanced sideways at Amelia.

“Her daughter? Just a dirty little bastard.”

The insult landed like a slap across the face. People passing by in the hallway began to gather, whispering, their stares Chapter 5

sharp and judgmental.

“God, even mistresses are this arrogant these days?”

“She tried to steal blood from the real wife’s son? Trash like her doesn’t deserve a child.”

Every word hit like a dagger. Amelia’s heart twisted into knots as her mind flashed to her daughter’s pale face in the ER. Her knees buckled, and without a word, she sank to the ground, kneeling before Blanche.

“I’m begging you,” she choked out. “Please… please save my daughter.”

The crowd fell silent. The air hung heavy with disbelief.

But Blanche didn’t even flinch. Without blinking, she slowly pulled up Edmond’s number and pressed call.

The moment the call connected, her tone turned syrupy sweet and full of distress.

“Ed… Edmond, you have to come quickly! That woman-Miss Austin-she’s trying to steal Finn’s blood. Just because she

hates me… she wants to hurt our son. Please, she’s trying to destroy us!”

“Edmond Robinson!”

Amelia suddenly broke free from the guards and lunged at the phone, screaming into the receiver.

“April’s in critical condition! She has a blood disorder and needs a transfusion or she’ll die! Edmond, please-just tell the

hospital to share the blood!”

There was a long pause on the other end. Then Edmond’s voice came through, low and laced with irritation.

“Amelia, I ordered the RH-negative blood to be allocated to Finn. He needs it. Don’t make a scene.”

“She’s a newborn, for God’s sake! How much blood could she possibly need?!”

Amelia was nearly hysterical. “Finn has a scrape. April is in the ER fighting for her life!”

“I’m asking you one last time: will you give her the blood, or not?”

Silence. Just the hiss of static on the line. Then Edmond’s voice drifted back, slow and suspicious.

“A clotting disorder? For a baby? That’s not even medically likely. Amelia, are you actually cursing your own child now?”

“EDMOND!”

Tears streamed down Amelia’s cheeks.

“Your own daughter is dying, and you still won’t listen?! What kind of monster are you?!”

The hospital director leaned in toward the phone, his voice servile.

“Mr. Robinson… should we handle this woman? She’s clearly unstable and insists she’s your wife.”

A beat of silence. Then Edmond’s voice turned frigid.

“My wife is Blanche. She’s the one caring for our son, Finn.”

“I… don’t have a daughter.”

The tension snapped. The crowd relaxed, their gazes turning colder, more disdainful-eyes that now looked at Amelia like

she was delusional.

Blanche suddenly let out a mocking laugh. Without hesitation, she threw the RH-negative blood bag to the floor in front of

Amelia.

“A bastard like yours doesn’t deserve this blood.”

She crushed the bag under her heel, red liquid pooling across the floor.

“I’d rather spill it and feed it to the dogs than let you have it.”

In that moment, Amelia felt her chest cave in, as if someone had reached in and shattered her heart into dust. Even breathing hurt.

The door slammed shut behind her. All the noise-the judgment, the mockery, the betrayal-was sealed away. Amelia stumbled back to April’s room and gathered her tiny, cold body into her arms. Her daughter’s breathing was growing fainter by the second.

Tears fell like rain onto April’s pale little face. Despair dragged her under.

Until her phone lit up.

Another notification-from Blanche. She’d posted a photo, beaming with pride as she held Finn.

Attached was a transfer receipt: $52,000 from Edmond, with the note: Take good care of our son.

Amelia stared at the image. Her blood ran cold.

April’s chest rose and fell ever so faintly.

Then a clear, steady voice rang out from the door:

“Excuse me. I’m RH-negative. I can donate blood to your daughter.”
