Samuel swallowed. His face paled, slowly. “Agnes, you don’t understand the situation at that time-“}
“Oh I see, Sam,” I cut in again, taking a few steps closer. “You think you can tell Leon to hit on me, make me melt, and then throw me av like trash? Shit, you forgot one thing… I’m not the Agnes I used to be.”}
Livia seemed to be starting to panic, glancing frantically at Samuel. “You… you don’t dare,” she said shakily.§
I moved closer to her, almost face to face. My smile was slow, but sharp. “Let me prove it. If you still try to bother me or my son within a week… not only will news of your affair spread, but also that old case. I’ll make sure you lose not only your reputation… but also your freedom.”

Leon looked down, his face full of regret. “I’m sorry, Agnes. I don’t know what really happened. I need time to understand everything, but I promise I’ll help you. I’ll help put Samuel and Livia in jail. I won’t let them get away with it.“}
Hearing that, I felt a glimmer of hope. All the anger I had been harboring was slowly turning into something bigger–forgiveness. I sighed and looked at Leon more gently.}
“Thank you… Leon. You don’t have to apologize. I know you didn’t know all this. But now we have a chance to destroy them,” I said, quietly but firmly.
We began to gather all the evidence we could, trying our hardest to prevent Samuel and Livia from running away from reality. There were documents, recorded conversations and other traces that proved their involvement in various crimes, including the murder Samuel was trying to hide.}
A few days later, as we were planning our next move, there was a loud knock on the door. I opened the door, and before me stood an old woman with an unconcealably angry expression. It was Samuel’s mother.}

Samuel’s mother cried, stepping in without permission. Leon who heard her immediately ran over, startled. “Mrs. Samuel? What happened?“>

Leon took my hand, looking at me with a gaze full of love and regret. “I promise, Agnes, I’ll make things right. I’ll never leave you again.“}
I looked at him, and for the first time after everything that happened, I could feel a little calm. There was something in my heart that was slowly healing, and that was being with Leon who sincerely wanted to fix everything. I could forgive him.”

With the help of Samuel’s mother, we started planning our steps to destroy Samuel and Livia.
