Nobody welcomed her. They all wanted her gone.
Danica thought it was absurd. She glanced coldly at Liliana, Jennifer, and Rodney. Then she yanked her arm free from Wayne’s grip. She forced a faint smile and said, “Fine, I’ll leave.”
She thought to herself, “Remember, it’s you guys pushing me away!”
Danica turned around and left.
But soon, Danica was back. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and said, “Mr. Hamilton, do you know why I’m here today?”
Wayne looked at her delicate face every strand of hair soft and charming.

But his expression was icy. “Danica, if you keep bothering me, it will be annoying.”
Danica stepped forward and smiled brightly, “I’m here to find a skilled doctor for you.”
She pulled out a card and handed it to Wayne. “Here, this is for you.”
Wayne looked down. The slightly yellowed card looked like it had been slipped under a door.
It read: “A hereditary skilled doctor, specializing in treating impotence, premature ejaculation, and infertility. I can help you regain the joy of being a man. Please call me at XXXX.”
Wayne’s calm facade cracked.

Danica tucked the card into his suit pocket. “Jennifer is sick, but Mr. Hamilton, don’t you have issues too? You guys should see a doctor and take care of yourselves.”
With that, she turned and left.
Wayne’s hands clenched into fists. Danica always knew how to get under his skin!
Jennifer spoke up, “Wayne, forget it. Danica is not worth our time.”
Liliana nodded. “Yeah, where’s Master V?”
At the mention of Master V, everyone tensed up.
She was Jennifer’s only hope.
Wayne glanced at his watch. The agreed time had passed, but Master V still hadn’t shown up.
Just then, a medical staff walked in. “Mr. Hamilton.”
Jennifer, Rodney, and Liliana’s eyes lit up. “Is Master V here?”
The medical staff looked at Wayne. “Mr. Hamilton, Master V is here.”
What?
Wayne looked outside but saw no one except Danica, who turned a corner and disappeared.
He frowned, “I didn’t see Master V.”
The medical staff said, “Master V came but left.”
“Why?” Jennifer, Rodney, and Liliana’s faces turned pale. “Why did Master V leave? She hasn’t treated Jenny yet.”

The medical staff apologized, “Sorry, Master V won’t treat Ms. Vance.”
Jennifer’s face turned deathly pale. Master V actually refused to treat
her!
Why?
The joy they had just felt vanished. Everyone was stunned.
Jennifer broke down. “Why does Master V refuse to treat me? Why?”
Rodney and Liliana hugged Jennifer and comforted her softly, “Jenny, don’t get upset. We’ll find a way to invite Master V again. You’ll be okay.”
Wayne’s face turned cold and dangerous. He stared at the empty hallway.

Danica left the hospital. Just then, someone called out to her, “Dani.”
Danica paused and slowly turned around.
It was Liliana.
Liliana caught up to her. “Dani, this is yours.”
Danica lowered her eyes and saw it was a check for 3,200 dollars.
Liliana said, “Dani, Mr. Hamilton doesn’t like you. Stop bothering him. Give him back to Jenny. Why can’t you just let her have him? Get a divorce, take this money, and go back to the poor village.”
Danica found it ironic. If she hadn’t secretly done a DNA test, she would have thought Jennifer was Liliana’s biological daughter.

Too bad Liliana was just Jennifer’s stepmother.
Yet, she loved Jennifer more than Danica.
Danica knew Liliana was infatuated with Rodney, so she loved everything related to him.
Danica looked at Liliana and curled her lip. “Is being Mrs. Hamilton only worth this much money? Or is that all I’m worth in your heart?”
Liliana was taken aback and then defended herself. “Dani, I’m your mom. I’m doing this for your own good. This place isn’t for you…”
Mom?
This strange title filled Danica’s eyes with a mocking smile. “You’ve already sent me to the poor village once. Now you want to send me there again. What a great mom you are!”
Danica ignored her, got into a taxi, and left.

In the taxi, Danica sat in the back seat. She took out a candy, unwrapped it, and popped it into her mouth.
The driver glanced at her in the rearview mirror. She wore a dress and had a calm, strong aura, but up close, she had fair skin and seemed fragile.
The driver, who had a daughter around her age, said with a smile, “Miss, do you really love candy that much?”
Danica looked up, her hair blowing in the breeze. She smiled softly, “Yeah, candy makes life a little less bitter.”

Liliana froze in place, watching Danica leave in the taxi.
Just then, someone walked over. “Mrs. Vance.”
Liliana turned around. It was Albert Bryant, a director from Charhelm Hospital.
Liliana immediately greeted, “Hello, Dr. Bryant. You have great connections. Is there any way to get Master V to treat Jenny?”
Albert said, “Mrs. Vance, I happen to know Master V and can recommend you to her.”
Liliana was overjoyed. “Really? Thank you, Dr. Bryant.”
Then Albert looked in the direction Danica had disappeared. A sly smile spread across his face. “Mrs. Vance, is that your eldest daughter who came back from the poor village? I didn’t expect your daughter to be so beautiful. I thought I saw an angel just now.”
Liliana’s smile faded. She became calm and indifferent.
