Chapter 21 I Don’t Like You Anymore
“Ah!”
Jennifer’s scream made Wayne hit the brakes, and the Rolls–Royce came to a stop.
Jennifer was gasping for air, terrified. “Wayne, why were you driving so fast?”
Wayne’s handsome face was still gloomy. He glanced up and saw that the Lamborghini which he had almost caught up with had sped off while he was stopping.
Wayne pursed his lips. “Are you okay?”
Jennifer nodded, replying, “Yes.
“I didn’t expect Danica to get involved with Keyon. Earlier. You saw Danica dance like that on the dance floor. She grew up in the countryside and dropped out at 16. She has learned nothing but ways to seduce men. She stooped that low with no self–respect!”
Wayne’s gaze turned cold. He recalled Danica’s alluring movements on the dance floor. She did know how to seduce men just as Jennifer said.
Keyon, with his high standards, had been attracted by Danica.
“Wayne, did you divorce Danica today?”
“Not yet.”
Jennifer was taken aback. “Why not? Didn’t you go to the courthouse today?”

She had thought they had already finalized the divorce.
Wayne explained, “My grandma likes Danica a lot. For her health, we have to put the divorce on hold.”
Jennifer thought, “Emelia interfered?”
Jennifer knew Emelia disapproved of her. As Danica’s biggest supporter, Emelia liked Danica.
Jennifer felt a deep sense of crisis, wondering, “As long as Emelia is around, will Wayne never divorce Danica, leaving me unable to become Mrs. Hamilton?”
Jennifer argued, “Wayne, why do you always listen to your grandma? What about me? I’m getting older. A woman’s youth is her most valuable asset. How long do I have to wait for you?”
Wayne glanced at Jennifer. “Three years ago, you could have become Mrs. Hamilton if you had agreed, and Danica wouldn’t be involved
now.”
Jennifer was speechless.
She had a weak case after all.
Jennifer was smart. She immediately softened her stance, leaning against him and wrapping her arms around his neck. “Wayne, I’m sorry. I just want to marry you so badly. Don’t you want to marry me?”
Tonight, her soft words seemed ineffective. Wayne removed her hand and said indifferently, “I’ll take you home first.”
Jennifer sat back, a flash of determination in her eyes. She hated. waiting. She preferred to take the initiative. She thought, “I must make Wayne and Danica divorce sooner.

Half an hour later, the Rolls–Royce pulled up on the lawn of the Hamilton’s home. Wayne was home.
He walked into the living room, but Danica wasn’t there. She hadn’t returned yet.
Wayne was furious, thinking, “I even came home earlier than her.
“Judging by the time, Keyon should have dropped her off already unless she hung out with him!”
Wayne took out his phone and dialed Danica’s number.
The phone rang once before she answered. Wayne coldly demanded, “Danica, why aren’t you home yet?”
Danica’s clear voice came through. “Mr. Hamilton, are you suffering from amnesia? I told you I won’t go back to the Hamilton’s home.”
Wayne replied, “How am I supposed to explain to my grandma? Danica, get back here now. Why do you always go outside? Who are you with out there?”
Danica hung up on him.
Wayne was stunned.
That woman actually dared to hang up on him!
At that moment, Cordell Wilson, the butler, walked over. Wayne instructed, “Cordell, call Mrs. Hamilton and tell her Madam Hamilton isn’t feeling well. Make her come back immediately!”

Cordell was stunned. “But Mr. Hamilton, Madam Hamilton has already eaten the medicinal food made by Mrs. Hamilton and gone to sleep. She’s fine.”
Wayne said, “Lie to her. Got it?”
Cordell hesitated again. “Mr. Hamilton, isn’t it wrong to lie to Mrs. Hamilton? Over the past three years, Mrs. Hamilton has been taking care of both you and Madam Hamilton. She’s worked so hard. Letting her relax a bit outside at night isn’t such a bad thing, is it?”
Wayne demanded, “Cordell, are you going to make that call or not?”
Perhaps intimidated by Wayne’s stern gaze, Cordell quickly took out his phone. “Yes, Mr. Hamilton!”
Wayne stood with his hands on his hips, his forehead throbbing. He thought, “This household is completely out of control, with no one heeding my authority.
“It’s all because Grandma indulged Danica.”

Half an hour later, Danica arrived in a hurry. She pushed the door open and anxiously asked, “What’s going on with Grandma?”
Danica paused as she stepped into the living room–it was completely silent and dark.
“Why isn’t the light on?”
Danica stretched out her hand to feel for the switch.
In the next moment, a large hand reached out and grabbed her slender wrist, yanking her hard into a broad, warm chest.

The person pinned her against the wall.
Danica recognized him. Who else dared do so in this house besides Wayne?
Danica raised her hands to push against his well–built chest. “Wayne, what are you doing?”
Wayne let out a low, cold chuckle. “Wayne? So you recognize me now? Weren’t you pretending not to know me earlier?”
Danica had adjusted to the darkness. Moonlight streamed in through the floor–to–ceiling windows, illuminating Wayne’s handsome face. He was staring at her with a surly and intense gaze.
Danica felt bewildered. “Wayne, are you upset just because I said I didn’t know you? Our marriage isn’t known to many people outside your circle. Do you want me to announce myself as Mrs. Hamilton and paint you as scum and Jennifer as the other woman?”
Wayne thought, “She got a glib tongue.”
He reached out and pinched her delicate chin. “Speaking so
righteously. Are you saying that because you’ve already found someone else?”
“Someone else? What do you mean?”
“Keyon!”
Danica’s heart skipped a beat. She realized that Wayne thought she was involved with Keyon.
Instead of explaining, Danica retorted with a smile, “Wayne, we agreed to let each other have our own lives. I didn’t say a word when you and Jennifer were dancing closely in the bar. So why are you meddling in what I do with Keyon?”

Danica pushed him away and tried to leave.
But Wayne’s hands firmly gripped her shoulders, pinning her against the wall.
Her shoulders collided with the wall, causing a sharp pain.
Danica’s beautiful eyes grew cold. “Wayne, let me tell you this. My kindness to you in the past was because I liked you. It doesn’t give you the right to treat me any way you want. Now, I don’t like you anymore!”
