Chapter 6
Mira curled her lips slightly in his arms. The title of Mrs. Arden would be hers for sure.
After all these nine years, Theo had never truly let her go.
The day Mira was discharged from the hospital, Theo stepped into the house and immediately called for the maid. “Move all of Zara’s things to the backyard. Tell her from now on, she’s not allowed to disturb me or Mira.”
“Where is she? Tell her to get down here!“}
The maid, wiping her hands, looked surprised.}
“Sir, Madam hasn’t come home in a week.”
Theo froze.
A week? That was the day of the surgery. Where could she have gone?}]
“Theo, it seems Zara still doesn’t like me. Should I go apologize to her?”
Mira looked up at him with concern.
Theo didn’t care about me at all anymore.
“Let her do whatever she wants. Mira, don’t worry about her. You just focus on getting better.“W
Another week passed and I still hadn’t returned.
This started to make Theo uneasy. He called my number on instinct.M
“Sorry, the number you dialed is no longer in service.“}]
As if possessed, he walked into my study.
There, a large oil painting of our wedding portrait hung on the wall.
He knew I had started painting it the day after the wedding.
He knew that whenever I felt bored, upset, or happy, I would come back and add a few strokes.
But now, it was clear the paint had dried long ago.
A wave of irritation suddenly hit him.”

Mira suddenly stood at the door, her voice soft and aggrieved.
“Are you missing my sister? What about me?“}
Theo immediately dropped the brush and pulled her into his arms.
“Of course not. I like you and our sons, Zayn and Zane.“}
He called the twins over from the hallway and the family embraced.
Just then, his phone rang.
His assistant’s urgent voice made Theo’s heart tighten.
“President Arden! Something’s wrong. Please check the company email immediately!“}
Theo opened the message and froze.
It was a divorce notice from me, sent to the entire company staff.}
Attached were photos and videos of his affair with Mira, clear and undeniable.}
At the same time, news of his cheating scandal was spreading quickly online.}
Although he had never really hidden the relationship, making it public was something else entirely.}]
The Arden Family was hit with a wave of public backlash.
Their stock value dropped fast and several major business deals collapsed.}}
Worse, multiple companies from the prestigious Beaufort social circle, ones the Arden Family had worked for years to connect with, released statements refusing to work with them anymore because of the affair.
In the end, Theo’s father had no choice but to remove him from his position.
But the damage to the Arden Family had already been done and couldn’t be undone.
