Chapter 14
Camilla let out a derisive laugh–exactly how shameless he was,
standing here and accusing her?
She curved her lips and said, “I didn’t give a damn before. But now, I’ve changed my mind. Why should I suffer in silence? Since you don’t mind making me the biggest joke in Crysston,
why shouldn’t I drag you down with me?”
She pulled over a chair and sat down, looking at the three with a
sarcastic smile.
As her gaze fell upon Nicholas, she saw how weak he was. He leaned against the nightstand feebly, struggling to keep his eyes open, and his face was so sickly pale that it seemed he’d collapse
at any second.
She sneered, “Edward, you had to rush to the hospital because
Nicholas was sick. It seems to me that he’s not better yet. If you are so worried about him, why aren’t you in the hospital instead
of here?”
Hearing this, Aurora and Edward realized Nicholas was still ill.
Their gazes fell upon Nicholas, who seemed utterly frail.
Aurora held him in her arms so tha
she felt his forehead, which was slightly burning.
She immediately frowned. However, she didn’t take him to the hospital right away. Instead, her gaze shifted between Edward
and Camilla.
After a few seconds, she asked, “Ms. Lockhart, I know you have
a family doctor. Can he take a look at Nico? Given Edward’s
condition, I wanna stay here with Nico. I hope you’ll allow it.”
With her hands in her pockets, Camilla asked, “Will you leave if
I say no? You won’t. Then why bother asking?”
Both Aurora and Edward stood in place, unsure of what to say.
Camilla’s tough attitude and harsh words left them utterly
awkward.
But Camilla didn’t give a damn about their feelings. She
continued, “Edward, you should be glad that you weren’t beaten
up to death yesterday. If you had, you’d have missed the show
I’m about to put on.”
Glancing at the time, she saw that it was almost noon. Since she
had a lunch appointment with her lawyer, she should go.
She shot a cold glance at the three one last time and then went
back to the bedroom, changed into a nice outfit, put on exquisite

makeup, and put a Ferrari key into her Louis Vuitton bag.
As she walked downstairs, she bumped into Jadeana, who had
just arrived.
Looking at Camilla, who dressed up so nicely, Jadeana thought
of Edward’s miserable state after being beaten up and William’s
threat to take Kenny and Pierson back. She immediately flew
into a rage.
“Camilla, Edward got beaten up all because of you. He can’t even
get out of bed now, and you’re all dressed up, ready to go out?
Have you forgotten? You’re his wife.”
Camilla wouldn’t be blamed.
“You know exactly why he got beaten last night. Don’t try to pin
this on me. He went out on our wedding night, so why can’t I go
out the next day? Besides, haven’t you checked your phone?
Take a look at the photo I’ve just sent. I’m still getting a divorce. I
want him out of my life.””
Jadeana’s face fell at Camilla’s barb.
Stuart called her, and she saw the photo Camilla had shared in
the group chat. Knowing she’d face nothing but trouble after
coming over, she had been stalling at home.

Camilla reminded her, “Edward is William’s eldest grandson. If
he keeps letting William down, William will have every reason
to take Kenny and Pierson back. If I were you, I’d go upstairs
and deal with Aurora right now instead of wasting time here.”
