Melia didn’t notice the dark, sinister expression on Tavian’s face as she kept babbling on.
“If you ask me, Liora really doesn’t know what’s good for her. Just because she was jealous of me, she jumped into the sea, thinking that would win your heart back. She’s really scheming!“}
“But this time, I guess she finally got what she deserved. Oh, Tavian, while you were unconscious these past few days, I took care of your affairs. I was worried the ashes might disturb the baby, so I just threw them in the backyard trash bin…”
Before she could finish, Tavian suddenly reached out and grabbed her by the throat, his face darkening as if he was about to kill. “Tavian… Tavian… what… what are you doing?” Melia gasped, struggling in his grip.”
Tavian suddenly tightened his fingers with force. “Who gave you the nerve! Who allowed you to touch Liora’s body! I’ll strangle you, you bitch!”
Melia was so scared that she started crying uncontrollably. “Tavian… Tavian, aren’t you supposed to love me? You said it yourself, don’t
that Liora is dead and you were unconscious, I just wanted to help you shoulder some of the burden and deal with things… what did I do wrong?”
Tavian’s eyes were bloodshot and he tightened his grip even more, causing Melia to roll her eyes back in pain.
“Melia, how dare you even talk about what you did wrong! Were those thugs that day hired by you? You set Liora up and caused me to kill our own child with my own hands. I want you to pay with your life!”
you remember? You said if it weren’t for that marriage certificate, you would be with me. No
“And what do you think you are? That I would ever love you? To me, you’re nothing but a rag to be used and thrown away! Saying I loved you was just to fool you. The only one I ever truly loved was Liora! Since you’ve hurt her, I swear I’ll kill you!“}
As his grip tightened, the choking fear made Melia struggle desperately with her hands and feet. Terrified, she lost control and urinated involuntarily.
She struggled to beg with trembling lips. “Tavian, I didn’t mean to! I was wrong, I really know I was wrong! I was blinded for a moment and hired people to frame her, but jumping into the sea was her own choice, it really has nothing to do with me! Please, I… I’m having trouble breathing, Tavian, I’m carrying your child!“>
At the mention of the child, Tavian’s hands froze, then he violently shoved her aside.}
Now, Melia couldn’t care about dignity. She lay on the ground gasping for air.
Surviving the ordeal, she cautiously straightened her pregnant belly and crept over to the man, trying to appease him. “Tavian, I know I was wrong and i won’t ever upset you again. For the sake of the child, please forgive me, okay?“}
She was sure Tavian wouldn’t harm her. After all, he had been so happy when he found out she was pregnant. She thought that was her golden ticket to safety.
But unexpectedly, Tavian’s eyes turned venomous and he looked terrifying.
“At this point, you still dare to mention the child to me? Don’t think that just because you’re a worthless woman, I’ll let you off! If it weren’t for the fact that Liora couldn’t get pregnant, do you really think I’d keep your child?“}
Saying that, he stepped forward quickly and slammed a brutal kick into her belly.
Melia cried out in shock, her eyes full of terror, but the man didn’t give her a chance. He pressed his foot down hard on her stomach, grinding it mercilessly.
Dark red fluid began to trickle down the inside of her thigh.
Melia writhed in pain on the ground, begging nonstop, but Tavian didn’t even glance at her and directly called his bodyguards.
