Timothy was taken aback.
Wayne. “Is this what you want to say?”
Timothy collided with Wayne’s icy gaze, as the man silently stared at him, exuding a hint of dangerous inscrutability from his superior position, as if he could see through people with just one look.
Timothy felt a bit guilty for no reason, and he chuckled, “Well, Mr. Hamilton, the thing is, I just got released from prison and I’m a little tight on money right now. I was wondering if you could…”
Wayne showed no emotion, he just raised an eyebrow and asked, “Do you want money?”
In front of this man, Timothy felt a little embarrassed, but he shamelessly said, “That’s right, Mr. Hamilton. After all, I am Dani’s foster father. It’s only right for you to give me some money to show filial piety…”
Wayne sat on the black leather office chair, “Sure, how much do your want?”

One million?

Wayne took out a check and handed it to Timothy.
Timothy counted the zeros behind and it was truly one million. “Thank you. Mr. Hamilton. I’ll be leaving now.”
Timothy happily walked away with a one million dollar check.

Wayne returned to the bedroom, and Danica was already waiting for him. there.
Danica looked at him and asked, “What did Timothy say to you just now?”
Wayne raised his hand and unbuttoned a button on his black shirt, revealing the man’s delicate collarbone. He smirked and said, “What do you think he would say to me?”
Danica frowned, “I was serious when I asked you, no joking.”
Wayne took off the precious steel watch from his wrist and placed it on the cabinet. Seeing her tense and serious expression, he raised an eyebrow and said, “Didn’t say much, just asked me for money.”
Danica’s face changed, “Did you give it?”
“Gave.”
“How much did you give?”
“One million.
Danica was speechless. “Who allowed you to give him money, and even a million at that!”
Wayne approached Danica and said, “Danica, did you eat gunpowder tonight? What happened with your foster father giving you one million
dollars?”
Danica looked at his handsome and noble appearance. He had always been generous and kind to her, so one million was just a small gift for
him.
Danica’s clear water eyes fell on his handsome face, “He asked you for one million today, and tomorrow he will ask for two million. You will only nourish his greed. I will go now and help you get the money back.”
Danica walked away quickly.
But Wayne grabbed her slender arm and said, “Danica, what’s wrong with you?”
He asked in a low voice, “Why did your foster father go to prison? Ten years of imprisonment, the sentence was not light.”
He asked her foster father why he had been imprisoned.
His gaze was gentle and he did not show any contempt towards her upon. Timothy’s arrival. As a prodigy, he had received a high–quality education since childhood and was very cultured. He was inherently a good person.
Sherlyn was the same, accepting her background and giving her warmth. This is probably what a true aristocratic family is like.
Today Timothy threw the question at her, and she didn’t say it out, not because she felt ashamed, but because it was unnecessary.
Danica looked at Wayne and said, “This was my personal matter, it had nothing to do with you.”
Wayne hooked his thin lips and smiled inexplicably. He grabbed her slender arm and pulled her towards him, laughing and scolding, “Danica, you don’t know how to appreciate kindness.”
Danica said slowly, “Wayne, if you cannot take responsibility for
something, do not inquire about it. Do not give others hope, so they will not be disappointed.”
After saying that, Danica withdrew her slender arm from his palm and turned around to leave.
He was a good person, but he was never meant to be hers.
They were soon going to get divorced, and he was Jennifer’s husband.
So no matter how much she wanted to rely on him in her heart, she would never truly rely on him.
Years ago, he had said in that cave that he would take her away. He would never know how long she had waited for him alone in that cave. She waited day after day, but he never came.
She only waited for that beast Timothy.
He did not take her away.
In the luxurious private room of the nightclub, Timothy sat on the sofa and slammed the one million dollar check onto the coffee table. With his legs crossed, he said, “Bring all the beautiful girls here, you see, I have money.”
