Chapter 50
Danica coldly stared at Timothy, the person who was the embodiment of her childhood dreams. Seeing him again, she couldn’t help but tremble all over, her hands and feet freezing.
The next second, a strong arm was placed on her delicate shoulder, and her shoulder was gently held by a large hand with distinct knuckles. A deep, magnetic voice came from above her head, “What are you doing standing here?”
Danica looked up and Wayne’s handsome and noble face magnified in her line of sight.
Wayne came back.
Wayne looked at her with his beautiful eyelids lowered. When she looked up, her eyes seemed a bit unfocused, empty, with only the distinct black and white pupils turning, clear yet isolated, looking pitiful and helpless.
The maid took away Wayne’s black suit, and he looked at her, curling hist lips, “Why are you so cold?”
His palm wrapped around her slender shoulders and gently rubbed them.
Danica felt his body temperature, his warmth seeping through her palm onto her shoulder. And now he was holding her, her delicate body nestled in his embrace, and through the thin fabric she could feel the warmth of
his arms.
His appearance brought a strong sense of security.
Reliable.
Danica snapped out of her daze and said, “Maybe I was wearing too little

clothing.”
Sherlyn introduced warmly, “Wayne, this is Dani’s foster father. He came from the countryside to visit Dani.”
Wayne’s deep and cold gaze fell upon Timothy.
Timothy looked at Danica’s side, a man who exuded an air of superiority in every gesture and movement, making others feel inferior. He gritted hist teeth with envy, thinking, “What a cunning little minx, she managed to climb up to such a man!”
Timothy smiled kindly and said, “Mr. Hamilton, hello. I didn’t expect Dani to marry so well. Now that I see you both happy and in love, I can rest assured. Well, I’ll be on my way now. I won’t disturb you any longer.”
Sherlyn immediately pleaded, “Stay and have dinner with us. You rarely come up here, and I have already instructed the servants to prepare dinner. Tonight, let’s have a family reunion meal.”
Wayne looked at Timothy and said, “Let’s have dinner together.”
Wayne and Sherlyn both spoke and left Timothy behind..
Timothy laughed and said, “Well then, I will respectfully obey your command…”
At this moment, Danica’s cold voice interrupted him, “He wouldn’t stay for dinner.”
Timothy froze, and he looked at Danica.
Danica also looked at him and said, “You just got out of prison, so don’t come back to the Hamilton family’s old mansion anymore.”
As soon as these words were spoken, the atmosphere immediately became
tense and subtle.
Sherlyn hesitated for a moment, and she looked at Timothy in surprise. “Timothy, have you been to jail?”
Danica had an expressionless face. “Yeah, I spent ten years in prison.”
Sherlyn was surprised and asked, “What have you done, my dear, to get into trouble?”
Timothy looked at Danica and said, “Madam, whatever wrong I have done, you can ask my sister Dani. My sister Dani knows best.”
Timothy threw the question to Danica, wanting to see if she would tell Sherlyn and Wayne the reason he could be imprisoned.
Danica understood his intention and remained silent.
At this moment, Sherlyn intervened, “If the in–laws can raise such a good daughter like Dani, they must not be bad people. As humans, as long as they can learn from their mistakes, it’s enough.”
Timothy saw Danica’s silence and smirked triumphantly, “Well then, I won’t stay here for dinner. But Mr. Hamilton, I would like to have a word. with you privately, if you don’t mind.”
Danica wanted to speak, but Wayne pinched‘ her frail shoulder and interrupted. “Alright, let’s go to the study.”

In the study room.
Timothy followed Wayne inside, and the black, white, and gray design of the place exuded a subtle sense of luxury. The high taste emanating from the upper–class aristocracy and the opulence accumulated from their wealth once again left Timothy speechless.
There is a saying that Timothy spoke the truth, for the past ten years he truly yearned for Danica while he was in prison.
Danica blinded him in one eye, sent him to prison with her own hands, and he will not forget.
I didn’t expect that she herself married into such a wealthy family and lived so well.
In the future, she could never escape from him.
Timothy looked at Wayne and said, “Mr. Hamilton, my sister Dani was abandoned in the countryside since she was young and never had the opportunity to receive an education. I know she was reaching beyond her station by being with you…”
Wayne’s deep, cold gaze fell upon Timothy’s face as his thin lips curved into a shallow arc. “No, she was fine.”
