Chapter 9
At the hospital, after Brenton dropped Leanna off at the station, he hurried to the hospital without stopping.
Ever since Crystal was pushed down by Leanna, her fetus has been unstable, and she has become extremely delicate, unable to be separated from him at all.
If she didn’t see him for a moment, Crystal would cry and wail until she fainted.
At the thought of this, he quickened his pace.
Sure enough, when Crystal woke up in the hospital room and didn’t see her husband, tears welled up in her eyes.
“Dylan, Dylan, where are you?”
Seeing that no one had answered her for a long time, Crystal’s heart grew more and more anxious, and her stomach began to ache as well.
But she didn’t care about these, dragging her weak body to get out of bed to find him.
The next moment, the man Crystal had been thinking about for a long time suddenly opened the door from outside and walked towards her in big strides: “Crystal!”
Seeing the woman about to fall to the ground due to exhaustion, Brenton’s heart tightened, and he quickly rushed towards her, saying, “Be careful!”

After being embraced by the familiar arms, Crystal’s long–suppressed grievances and fears instantly surged out. The strength of her grip on Brenton’s clothes gradually increased as she slowly lifted her head to look at him.
As she lifted her head, tears fell out and hit the ground.
“I, I thought you didn’t want me anymore…”
In recent days, Brenton’s strange behavior towards Leanna and Leanna’s hidden provocations have caused Crystal to feel a sense of
crisis.
For the Harrell family, watching their mother fail, the person who had endured over a decade of hard times knew all too well what this sense
of crisis was.
So Crystal was very scared.
Afraid that Brenton would abandon her like his father did to his
mother.
Over the years, Brenton has been so good to her. Not only did he pull her out of the mud, but he also gave her a luxurious life that she had never dared to imagine before.
And after he came back from the battlefield, he loved her even more crazily, taking her to bed every night.
He loved her so much that she could never leave him again.
She really couldn’t imagine how she would survive without him once she left.
So she tried every possible way to prevent this outcome from happening.

But when she woke up from the sickbed, she didn’t even see his figure, only Brenton’s servant told her that he had gone home to take Leanna back to her parents‘ house.
But Crystal waited for a long time, but he never came back.
She was too afraid of what might happen between him and Leanna on this road.
If something really happened.
Then what should she do with the baby in her belly?
Fortunately, he returned in time.
Seeing the woman in his arms like this, Brenton’s words that he wanted to say turned into a sigh in his mouth.
He raised his hand and carefully wiped away Crystal’s tears with the rough fingertips.
It wasn’t until Brenton had settled Crystal down and carried her back to bed that he explained the reason for his late return.
Brenton had originally planned to send Leanna back to the Dalton family directly, but he left the train station because he was worried about Crystal.
Then he hurried to the hospital without stopping, but the car broke down halfway. He couldn’t bear to worry her, so he quickly ran to the hospital.
It was at this moment that Crystal realized his forehead was still oozing
with hot sweat and his clothes were soaked with sweat.
She was both touched and heartbroken, quickly taking a handkerchief

to wipe his face. At that moment, she seemed to have thought of something, biting her lip.
“But Dylan, isn’t it a bit irresponsible to leave Leanna alone at the station? I’ve heard that it’s not very safe around there lately, what if something happens…”
Crystal was very worried, but deep down she was hoping that Leanna would get into trouble.
Now that Leanna really got into trouble, she can never come back to seduce her husband again.
Upon hearing this, Brenton’s body stiffened for a moment, but then he shook his head and comforted Crystal in his arms.
“No, she is already an adult, she must be able to take care of herself.”
Brenton remembered all these years that Leanna had been without him, not taking care of herself the same way.
Just went to her parents‘ house, what could possibly go wrong.
Not to mention, he had already called Leanna’s parents, Efrain and Paula, asking them to pick her up at the train station.
