Chapter 18
Tonight in Hawaii, there was another heavy rain.
“Boom!”
A loud thunder accompanied by lightning tore through the sky, the huge sound causing the glass windows to shake several times.
Ethan hugged Leanna to his chest, reached out and covered her ears with his hands. He waited until the person in his arms fell back into a deep sleep before gently releasing her, getting out of bed, putting on his coat, and leaving the room.
When he walked out of the door holding an umbrella, he saw a figure standing not far away in the rain curtain.
Ethan furrowed his brow slightly, a hint of surprise flashing in his
eyes.
He didn’t realize it was so late, Brenton hadn’t left yet.
After the wedding today, his father’s two bodyguards found him. privately and told him that a man claiming to be Leanna’s husband was causing a scene and trying to find her.
Ethan immediately realized it was Brenton.
According to Leanna, even if Brenton were to come looking for
someone, it should be several months later. Coming here now can only mean that something has happened to the Anderson family, causing Brenton to show up on his own.
At first, Ethan didn’t pay much attention. Leanna couldn’t possibly turn back for someone like that. If Brenton had any sense, he would have disappeared obediently in front of them.
