But as soon as his voice came out, it was instantly drowned out by the surrounding noise.
Brenton became more and more scared, and his voice became hoarse.

However, just as Brenton was about to break out of the crowd, two people in military uniforms suddenly stood in front of him.

One of the soldiers reached out his hand, his tone polite yet unquestionable.
Brenton simply didn’t listen, trying to push away the soldier’s hand while his own voice carried a suppressed urgency.
“Move aside, I want to see Leanna, she was my wife!”
Two soldiers paused for a moment, silently locking eyes with each. other, both filled with confusion.
Was Leanna his wife?
Not long ago, their young master told them that Leanna was their mistress.
And the lady’s ex–husband had long since died in a car accident.
One of the bodyguards immediately turned around and looked back at Brenton, with a hint of warning in his tone.
“Sorry, you still can’t come in. If you cause any more trouble, we will have to ask you to leave.”
Brenton’s face darkened a few shades instantly, he had never been rejected like this over and over again before.
If it had been in the past, he would have already gotten angry, but now this is not the Anderson family, nor is it Chicago, so he had to endure no matter what.
Thinking of this, Brenton clenched his hands and took a deep breath, “I really knew Leanna.”
“Can you please make an exception and tell her that Brenton wants to see her?”

Brenton, caught completely off guard, was immediately knocked to the ground. Before he could catch his breath, the others rushed forward. punching and kicking him.
Under the repeated kicks and blows, Brenton almost heard the sound of his bones shattering.
He didn’t let go of him until everyone calmed down.
Brenton was lying on the ground, covered in blood, not moving at all.
After a while, he finally struggled to raise his hand to wipe away the blood at the corner of his mouth.
