She and Wyatt had tried for a baby for so long without success, and it was only through IVF that she finally conceived a boy, only to lose him because of Valerie. Her anger was palpable in her loud voice.
Since John had been taken away for investigation, the neighbors had been keeping an eye on the Patel family. Alexa’s furious shout immediately piqued their curiosity.

“Clayton, when Dad got into trouble, you let other lawyers handle it. I’ve only heard of police investigations needing to avoid conflicts of interest with family members. Lawyers avoiding it? That’s the first I’ve heard of it. Are you really unable to get involved, or are you afraid that Dad being convicted wi affect your career?” Wyst said.
Clayton’s face turned pale under the questioning, and he pursed his lips, choosing not to respond.
Wyatt.continued, “Mom is in the hospital because of her, and you don’t take care of her or stay by her side. Instead, you ask us to cover up the truth. With all the chaos at home, you still have time to sleep with her. Ask yourself and tell me, do you have any respect for our parents?”
Valerie’s crying stopped abruptly, and she stood up.

Her hair was disheveled, and she stumbled as she walked, determined to carry out her threat. She made it to Alexa’s side, who quickly stepped aside.
