“Don’t sue Vally!” Riley also came out. “She was only trying to help me. It’s my fault for not listening. It’s not hers!”
Valerie said nothing, just kept crying.
Clayton was annoyed by her tears and was about to say something when someone knocked on the door.
“Hello, I’m from the police station. We need Riley to come to the station to assist with an investigation!” Several police officers stood at the door, the lead one showing his badge.

Clayton hurried to call his older brother. He only said words, but could he really ignore his daughter?
During their shopping, Amelia got a call and left early. Audrey bought a gift for Amelia to be sent to Royal House by the store, then went back to the office building to get her car.
Just as she got in the car, she got a call from an unknown number. “Hello…”
“This is Jade.”
Audrey was about to hang up, but Jade quickly said anxiously, “Don’t hang up, I still have something to say!”
“Go ahead.”
Jade said, “I’m sending Valerie to jail. Can you say something to Emilia sol can work at Samson Legal?”

Jade lowered her tone and even sounded humble:

Audrey snorted lightly and said calmly,
“Whether Valerie encouraged Riley or not, the police will figure it out. I’m not interested in her.”
“You really don’t hate her?” Jade couldn’t believe it. She hated Valerie so much that it hurt, but Audrey, who got played so badly, didn’t want revenge at
all?
“She’ll pay for what she did, but it’s none of my business.”
Jade wanted to say more, but the call ended with a beep. She hit the steering wheel in frustration.
At the Samson Legal party, Jade didn’t have an invitation, but later learned two things.
First, Clayton became a bad example. The firm was ordered to shut down, and his career was basically ruined. Second, Audrey attended the event and got special treatment from the Samson father and son.
Jade wanted to join Samson Legal but was rejected by Malcolm. She hoped Audrey could help persuade them but never got the chance.

Unexpectedly, Clayton asked her to defend Valerie. That gave her a shortcut. If she helped Audrey punish Valerie hard, Audrey would help her get into Samson Legal. But Audrey was stubborn and didn’t budge.
“She’s so full of herself, thinking a little kindness makes her special!” Jade started her car and headed to the police station.
When she found out Jessica’s lawyer was one of Samson Legal’s “Four Guardians,” she was shocked. Going to court against Samson Legal for Clayton
basically meant cutting off her own path.
“Clayton, I’m not taking this case. Find someone better!” Jade just left.
At Royal House, Zoe was already waiting at the door. The client only hired her for lunch, so she had plenty of free time. Audrey needed someone to clean two hours a day, so Zoe volunteered.
Audrey’s car just parked, and Zoe came to help carry bags.

The villa was huge. Zoe’s eyes widened. Her eyes got a little moist. She felt relieved Audrey was better off without Clayton.
“You don’t have to clean the study or the master bedroom on the east side. Just do daily cleaning everyw
else,” Audrey showed Zoe around.
Zoe nodded repeatedly. She hoped the client wouldn’t need her, so she could work here full–time. Even if it’s housekeeping, who doesn’t want a better place and more money?
“For the downstairs rooms, I’ll ask Amelia. If she’s okay with it, you can clean those too.”
“Okay!”
While they were talking, Yann came back alone. Calvin, who always stuck to him, wasn’t with him this time.
“This is the housekeeper t hired. She comes every day for two hours to clean,” Audrey said, glancing behind him. “Isn’t Calvin with you?”
Yann’s face showed no expression, and he grew cold. He put his bag by the entrance, hung his car keys on the rack, and bent down to change his shoes,

The man came in without saying a word, carrying an imposing aura that made Zoe feel a little afraid. She hesitated, unsure whether to step forward and grab some slippers.
“What’s wrong?” Audrey stepped closer.
Yann changed into slippers, grabbed a towel by the entrance, wiped his hands dry, then reached out to hold Audrey’s hand.
He glanced at Zoe with a calm look. “In this home, everything follows her wishes first. If my plans conflict with hers, I’ll listen to her.”
“Got it,” Zoe nodded, quickly glancing at their joined hands.
Audrey deserved better. This man had way more attitude than Clayton.
“You go change your clothes first. I’ll take Zoe out.”
After Zoe and Audrey left the villa, Zoe finally breathed out, “Audrey, that gentleman really likes you. Seeing you meet someone better, I’m genuinely happy for you!”
Audrey smiled, “Maybe he just likes my looks.”
“No way!” Zoe quickly waved her hand. “When he first came in, there was a sparkle in his eyes looking at you. Later, when you asked about that guy, he got upset. He definitely cares about you and feels jealous when you’re concerned about others.”
Zoe didn’t say more, but Audrey hadn’t noticed it before. Thinking carefully, it did seem true.
After sending Zoe off, Audrey returned to the villa, where Yann had already changed into casual home clothes and come downstairs.
She walked under the stairs and looked up at him. “Is Ms. Smollett close with Cecilia?”
“They went from best friends to rivals in love, then from rivals to competitors,” Yann said, taking her hand as they headed to the kitchen.
“Rivals? So…” Audrey thought, ‘Does they like the same man?‘
