Chapter 111
Audrey laughed lightly, reaching to touch his waist. “One, two, three… was it eight?”
Yann caught her mischievous hand; his breath grew uneven. “Who am I?”
“Hmm?” Audrey lifted her head. Her blurry gaze finally focused on his sharp face.
“Who made you unhappy?” She reached to pull his ear.
Yann closed the car door with his knee, scooped her up horizontally, and strode inside.
Audrey felt dizzy, clinging tightly to his neck to avoid falling.
She lazily nestled into the man’s arms, breathing in the faint lemony scent on him. “Are you sick or what? Why’s your heart racing like that? Don’t ignore your health. You can always make more money, but only if you’re alive. You’re not young anymore…”
“You think I’m old?” Yann almost growled in challenge.
Audrey froze, seemingly thinking seriously. After a moment, she shook her head. “Anyway, you’re older than me.”
“Audrey!”
“I’m here.” Audrey tightened her arms around him, holding him tightly. “I’m here, I’ve always been here… but I can’t affect you.” Her voice broke with
emotion.
Yann looked down at the woman in his arms; the coldness in his eyes deepened. He held her firmly with one hand and twisted open the door with the other. When he placed her on the bed, Audrey pulled him down with her.
“What did Logan tell you?” Yann held her chin firmly, forcing her to look at him. Audrey squinted her eyes and shook her head.
“Then what Lucia told you.” His tone suddenly turned firm. “Don’t avoid it.” He cupped her face, not letting her look away.
Audrey simply closed her eyes, staying silent. A tear slowly rolled down her cheek.
Yann leaned down and gently kissed the tear away. His tone soft but domineering. “No crying.”
“I’m not crying.” The girl choked, denying, pounding his solid chest.
Yann held her hand, brought it to his lips, and lightly kissed her fingertips. The tingling sensation quickly spread throughout Audrey’s body.
Her leg twitched involuntarily, her knee bumped against the bulge of his erection. The man grunted lowly, a flash rising at the corner of his eyes.
brat!”
“You
Audrey chuckled softly, stubbornly saying, “Not dead.”
She pulled her hand free and turned over. “I haven’t slept with a handsome guy yet, so I can’t die…” Her voice was faint.
Yann thought she meant she wanted to sleep, so he pulled the blanket over her and got up to make hangover soup.
He took out his phone and called Calvin, “Check what dinner events she attended today.”
After he hung up, he lifted his shirt and silently counted his abs. He only had six, and he wondered if the girl would be satisfied.
Yann came back holding a hangover soup and saw Audrey burying her head in the blanket, crying softly.
This was a known issue. Growing up in a single–parent home, Audrey was lively and talkative in front of others, but when drunk, she’d cry uncontrollably.

Chapter 111
Whether it was from happiness or anger, once she started crying, she couldn’t stop.
“Audrey,” Yann pulled off the blanket.
Audrey turned and hugged his waist. “Dad!”
Yann went speechless.
“Daddy, I miss you so much!” Audrey threw herself into his arms, bawling. “Why did you leave me? You said you loved me the most. You lied! You had to

“You said when I grew up, I could change back to my dad’s surname, but she secretly used my ID to get a card, ruined my credit, and now i can’t change it!”
Yann’s narrow eyes flickered with coldness as he lifted his hand, stroking Audrey’s back.
Audrey hiccupped from crying, her tears and sniffles smearing on his shirt. “Everyone says a child with a mom is a treasure, so why am I trash? She doesn’t like me and won’t give me to you. What did I do wrong?”
“It’s not your fault. You’re good.” Yann put down the soup and held her close, gently rocking and patting her back to comfort her. Audrey cried herself to sleep in his arms.
Yann left her room but soon returned with an ice pack. He first washed Audrey’s face, then put the ice pack on her eyes so they wouldn’t swell into goldfish eyes tomorrow.
Audrey was woken by the alarm clock and stretched out habitually, but when her hand moved, she felt someone in her arms.
She snapped awake, no longer hysterical, staring fearfully at the man beside her. “Brother?”
Yann slowly opened his sleepy eyes and lazily hummed through his nose. Then he said, “Awake?”
Audrey swallowed and quietly lifted a corner of the blanket. Both she and Yann were clothed, but Yann’s clothes were messy.
His white shirt was buttoned only once, revealing his bare chest with several red marks that looked like bite marks, as if he’d been “attacked.”
She covered her mouth in horror. No way, no way! Liquor gave courage, did she… make a move on him last night?
Confirming her suspicion, Yann got up and when buttoning his shirt, touched the red marks. “You bit me.”
Audrey’s head exploded. She actually acted on impulse.
Although Yann clearly wanted to pursue her, she hadn’t figured out her own feelings yet.
If they just went along with it and got together, what if she realized she was only attracted to him because of some “strong guy” complex? That would ruin a good man.
“It’s not like that, I…” Audrey ran her messy hair through her fingers. “I drank too much yesterday.”
Yann, facing away, got dressed and then turned his head after hearing that. “You don’t want to take responsibility?”
“No!” Audrey quickly waved her hands.
“Then that’s fine.” Yann left the bedroom to get dressed in his own room. Standing in front of the mirror, he something was still missing.
red the fake marks he’d made and felt
Yann changed into a clean, crisp white shirt. His eyes narrowed slightly. He raised his hand, pinching the side of his neck with his middle and index fingers hard.
Immediately, a clear bruise appeared. The collar of his shirt just barely showed it. Satisfied, Yann turned and went to the kitchen to make breakfast.

Chapter 111
While washing up, Audrey looked at herself in the mirror. Before, after getting drunk and crying, her eyes would swell into slits the next day.
Now her eyes weren’t swollen. So her crying habit had turned into… using men for benefits? Might as well cry then.
Coming downstairs to eat, she saw Yann’s neck and couldn’t help but twitch the corner of her mouth. “Brother…”
Yann looked up at her. Audrey pointed at his neck. “Want me to put some medicine on it?”
Yann absentmindedly touched it and seriously said, “At my age, having sexual desire is normal.”
Audrey bit into her toast, thinking, ‘Yeah, it’s normal to have needs at this age, but everyone outside thinks he’s with Calvin!‘
Audrey quickly tapped his arm. “Let’s keep our relationship private for now.”
Yann stared into her eyes for a long moment, then slowly said, “When you think it’s the right time, then we’ll make it public.”
He said it to follow her words, but Audrey felt something was off.
