Chapter 110
Cecilia took off her glasses, lifted her cup toward Audrey, and said, “Go on.”
Audrey raised the decanter and took a big sip, showing her respect.
Audrey continued, “I think if the child is under five years old, protective measures should be added at the joints; for children over five, a different indoor apparatus with more training value can be chosen.”
Cecilia nodded approvingly and looked at Paul. Paul quickly said, “She’s my secretary. Just call her Audrey.”
“Audrey knows this well. How old are the kids at home?” asked Cecilia.
Audrey didn’t deny the ‘Audrey‘ title and explained, “I’m currently single and don’t have children.”
Cecilia raised her eyebrows in surprise. “Then how do you know I have a five–year–old child?”
Audrey glanced at Cecilia’s bag, and Cecilia followed her gaze, noticing the corner of a page sticking out from the opening. A sudden smile crossed Cecilia’s face.
Audrey said, “A friend of mine is taking care of a child today and went shopping with him. She happened to hear the sales pitch about that brand.”
Audrey took out another brochure from her own bag and handed it to Cecilia with both hands. “This is another set of equipment I mentioned, suitable for children over five. You can take a look.”
Cecilia took it without looking and passed it to her assistant. Her eyes showed more approval toward Audrey. “Audrey, you have good observation skills and are bold yet careful. If you don’t want to work with Paul anymore, come find me.”
Paul laughed helplessly, “Ms. Hale, I finally found a treasure; please don’t woo her away from me. I can’t compete with you.”
Audrey raised the decanter. “Thank you for your appreciation, Cecilia. Mr. Gibson has helped me when I needed it. I won’t be unfaithful.”
Cecilia smiled wider, picked up the decanter, and said, “Pour me some more. I get along well with Audrey.” The assistant hurriedly poured the drink.
Audrey stood, filled her decanter, clinked glasses with Cecilia, and drank it all in one go.
“Straightforward, I like it!” Cecilia gave Audrey a thumbs–up. “Tell me, what do you think of this project?”
Edana, who had calmed down outside, came back to the room and found the vibe surprisingly lively.
Cecilia and Audrey were chatting happily. Luther and Paul were laughing brightly, while Flora jealously snapped three of her acrylic nails.
The dinner ended, and Cecilia gave Audrey a business card, asking her to come to the company personally to discuss cooperation.
After seeing Cecilia off, Audrey staggered and held onto the nearby railing. She had a decent tolerance for alcohol, but drinking several decanters of baijiu in a row made her head dizzy.
“How are you?” Paul hurried over to support her.
Audrey subtly dodged his hand and barely stood film. “I’m fine.”
Luther walked over with a big grin. “Audrey is really a unique person. I offer double salary and welcome you anytime.”
Paul smiled coldly, a flash of chill in his eyes.
Edana, who had worked with him a long time, instantly understood that Luther had crossed Paul’s bottom line. If they weren’t cooperating on a project, Paul might have taken action. She quickly signaled Flora to change the subject.

“Mr. Gibson, may I send you home?” Edana asked politely, while Paul looked at Audrey with concern and worry.“Send Audrey first
“That’s fine. I have my own car,” Audrey said, taking out her phone, “I called for a driver, they’ll be here soon.”
Paul’s gaze almost stuck on Audrey’s figure. Edana, jealous to no end, dragged him into the car.
Once in the car, Paul’s drunkenness disappeared instantly. His eyes became cold and clear. “Your ability is far inferior to hers. Stop the petty tricks and learn well from her!”
Edana hung her head, tightly gripping her bag’s strap, and muttered, “Got it.”
Paul noticed her dissatisfaction. After all, she’d been with him for years. He decided to offer some advice: “Do you know what she meant when she said! helped her?”
“I know, Mr. Patel brought a woman to the company, and that woman provoked and slandered Audrey. You helped her get the surveillance footage and testified for her.”
Paul glanced at Edana with a hint of disdain. “Think again!”
Edana thought seriously for a moment, then shook her head.
Paul pointed at her forehead, clearly exasperated. “She’s talking about me. She’s not an ingrate. Because I helped her before, aven though she knows! hired her for other reasons, she can still not hold it against me and wholeheartedly work to make money for the company.
“If I stabbed her in the back and harmed her interests, not only does she have the ability to protect herself, but she would also strike back hard at me!”
Edana’s eyes widened in shock, and after a long moment she found her voice. “She’s warning you? How dare she? On what grounds?”
Paul honestly felt Edana was hopeless. He had said it so clearly, yet she had no brains at all.
“She can handle the paperwork on her own, and she has earned Mr. Bai’s praise.” Paul’s expression was stern, his tone sharp, “Can you do that? Can
Luther’s niece do that?
“If you jeopardize the company’s projects for your own selfish interests, don’t blame me for turning ruthless and treating you harshly.”
Edana’s face instantly went pale, her backpack covered with her own scratch marks. She was inwardly furious about the 3,000 dollars, but didn’t dare say
a word.
A white car passed by. Edana turned to look–it was that same cool, dreamy white Range Rover she’d seen outside the office. The license plate was
familiar.
Paul had the driver honk. The white Land Rover stopped and the window rolled down.
Audrey, sitting in the passenger seat, turned her head. She was a little tipsy, her eyes even more seductive. She smiled faintly. Paul’s heart tightened suddenly.
His hand clenched into a fist on the car door, then slowly relaxed. He shouted, “Drive carefully, message me when you get home.”
“Okay.” Audrey nodded, the car slowly drove off and rolled up the window.
Edana stared incredulously at the Land Rover as it disappeared. “That Land Rover… is Audrey’s car?”
She said her 50,000–dollar car was already pretty good compared to Audrey’s, and that the Land Rover was a goal Audrey could never reach in this lifetime!
And yet? Audrey had long achieved what was unreachable to her, but stayed humble and silent.

Chapter 110
The driver parked the car at Royal House, opened the trunk, and took out his electric scooter,
Audrey opened the car door, feeling dizzy. She leaned against the seat and scanned her phone to pay. “Paid.”
“Alright,” the driver nodded and rode off on his scooter.
Audrey closed her eyes to rest for a moment, then stepped out. Suddenly her legs felt weak. She reached out to grab the car door, but though it was close, the distance seemed to grow!
The expected pain didn’t hit, but suddenly her waist tightened. A strong arm firmly wrapped around her waist, holding her close. “How much did you drink?” The man’s angry voice sounded above her head.
