The collaboration with Senior Robert went very smoothly.
After it was over, Ryan suggested that the four of us have dinner together.
Everyone happily agreed.

At the table for four, Lucas naturally sat down next to me. Robert and Ryan were chatting happily and didn’t notice.
When Robert looked at me for the umpteenth time while twirling the ring on his ring finger, Lucas finally couldn’t control the anger in his heart, “CEO Lopez, since you’re already married, there’s no need for these little actions, right?”

Seeing that Lucas’s emotions were off, Ryan quickly put down his chopsticks and smiled to smooth things over, “It’s a misunderstanding, boss, you’ve misunderstood.”
“Brother Robert is showing off his ring to my senior!”
Robert also reacted, “That’s right, Aria, you haven’t given any reaction for so long, you’ve made me look like a scoundrel in front of Mr. Ward.”
Lucas’s gaze instantly softened a lot, he raised his glass to apologize and drank it all in one go, “I’m sorry, I misunderstood.”
“It’s alright.” Robert’s gaze flickered slightly, hinting, “However, Mr. Ward seems very protective of Aria.”
I belatedly realized that something seemed to have happened just now.
After swallowing the food in my mouth, I turned to look at Lucas blankly, “What did you misunderstand?”
Lucas smiled gently, “Nothing.”
The scene became awkward for a moment.
Just as Ryan was about to open his mouth to ease the atmosphere, I looked at Robert and spoke calmly: “He’s right, senior. You’re already married, why are you still so childish? I’ve known for months that Hannah published a top journal paper as first author, I just didn’t want to humor your showing off.”
Robert waved his finger proudly, “I’m going to show off, you must be so envious inside.”
Lucas was confused, “Envious of what?”
I snorted lightly, “I’m not envious at all, Lucas doesn’t like it, what’s the use of making it into a ring?”
Ryan was about to explain the meaning of the ring to Lucas when he heard my words and was stunned, “Why is it useless if the boss doesn’t like it?”
“Because it’s for him, of course.”
Both Lucas and Ryan were stunned.
“You didn’t notice?” Robert laughed loudly, patting Ryan hard, “Mr. Ward is Aria’s lover!”
I frowned slightly, disgusted, “What are you so proud of? You’ve seen him before, it’s not impressive that you recognized him.”
“It was only once on your birthday when he came to the school from abroad to find you, I only saw him from afar, so it doesn’t count as having met him.” Robert took a sip of wine, “I figured it out on my own.”
