Chapter 6 Red Wine
My father coldly said, “I’m so disappointed in you. After how he’s treated you, you still can’t bear to divorce him. Why?”
I didn’t explain, only planning to prove my thoughts through actions. “Dad, I have my own plans.”
After returning home with Ashley, Felix changed his usually cold attitude, not only going to work on time, but also cooking for me every day.
He actively took care of Ashley after work. This was what he should do as a father.
A week later, I arranged to meet Kelly at the bar downstairs from our home.

Kelly was dressed elegantly, wearing the same pearl bracelet as mine on her wrist, and chuckled, “Mrs. Wilson, why did you ask to see me? Is it because you can’t control your husband, so you’ve come to control me?
“I haven’t been in contact with him lately. Mrs. Wilson, you can’t take your anger out on me.
“If you’re really that lonely, I could remind Felix to pay attention to his behavior.”
Kelly’s tone was calm, but her words were provocative.

Kelly held her cheek, her eyes widening in shock as she stared at me. “You actually dared to slap me?” she gasped.
I shook my hand and smiled back, “Why shouldn’t I slap you? You, my husband’s mistress, so carefree, letting him take you on international trips while leaving me, a woman who just gave birth, at home. You think I don’t know about this?”
Kelly snorted, “So you knew. I’d heard you could tolerate a lot for Felix, but I didn’t know how far you would go. I didn’t expect you to find out about this.
“Are you jealous? We not only traveled together, but also had dates by the sea, at that hotel you like, sleeping in the bed you find most comfortable.”
I looked at Kelly calmly and said, “Is that so?
“If you’re so in love, why aren’t you married yet?”
She said, “That’s because of you! If I hadn’t gone abroad for a few years, we would have been married long ago. And just recently, Felix said he was going to divorce you!”
I said, “Yes, let me give you some good news–Felix and I are indeed getting divorced.”
Kelly’s face lit up with surprise.

I raised my wine glass and gently clinked it against Kelly’s.

I drained my glass of red wine and said, “I agreed. But the price is that he completely cuts off contact with you.”

Kelly slammed the table hard. Everyone around looked at us.
I ignored them, stood up, smiled at her, and said, “It’s true. You’re a smart person. I hope you won’t disappoint me this time either.”
After that, I went to the bar, ordered several bottles of high–end red wine, and told the bartender, “The lady over there says she’s happy today and will cover everyone’s tab.”
During this time, I never mentioned divorce again. Felix was very happy.
He not only held Ashley in his arms every day but also gradually purchased many baby supplies.
