My husband abandoned me.
Chapter 4 Apology
In all these years married to Felix, I had almost forgotten my true identity.

He only knew my surname was Wilson, but never realized that the Wilson Group was my family business.
I endured all these years for the sake of his pitiful self–esteem, how ridiculous. After marriage, Felix not only frequently abandoned me to go on dates with Kelly, but also constantly ignored my calls. Disappearing without explanation was his infuriating standard tactic. Every time, the next day, he would thoughtlessly make up some excuse to dismiss my concerns. It wasn’t until I finally checked his phone one day that I discovered the painful truth – he had been with Kelly during all those days of unexplained absence. We argued. His anger made me collapse to the floor in tears.
Yet Felix gave me the silent treatment for two weeks, claiming I had violated his privacy.
He exploited my love for him, hurting me without restraint.
He was convinced I would never leave him. But this time was different–when I needed him most, he wasn’t there for me.
I took Ashley and returned to my parents‘ home. They had never approved of my marriage to Felix, and if I hadn’t insisted on being with him, they would never have allowed me to suffer like

Now that I could see Felix’s true colors, I finally understood my parents‘ good intentions.
Felix called me more than thirty times, but I didn’t answer.
I wanted him to taste the desperation of being ignored.
I hired movers to bring all of Ashley’s and my clothes here.
That day, I received a call from an unknown number.
The person said, “Harper, I’m Felix’s friend. Felix is drunk.”
I replied coldly, “How is that my problem?”
“Felix is crying and calling your name…”
I said, “Is that so? Well, there’s nothing I can do. Felix and I have no relationship now. He has a good friend named Kelly. You might try contacting her.”
With that, I hung up. Two hours later, there was a sudden knock at the door.
Felix was sitting in the yard, appearing both sober and drunk, leaning on Kelly’s shoulder.
Kelly held Felix tightly and, upon seeing me open the door, indignantly said, “Harper! You’re so heartless. I didn’t want to bother you, but I can’t bear to see Felix hurting himself like this.

If you don’t love him, let him go.”
I laughed coldly and said, “I have let him go. When he was sober, did you, as his lover, ever ask about what happened between us?”

This comment seemed to infuriate Kelly. She angrily said, “I’m not his lover. Harper, Felix and I were together first. I just went abroad for a few years. You took advantage and married him. You have no right to talk to me like that.”
After settling Felix, Kelly rushed forward, grabbed my collar, and slapped me.
I grabbed Kelly’s arm and pinned her against the wall. Just as I was about to hit her, Felix suddenly grabbed my arm.
He said, “Harper! What are you doing? I’ve finally caught you bullying Kelly. I didn’t believe Kelly when she told me about your behavior before, but now I see it’s true! Apologize to Kelly right now!”
Felix, who had seemed completely drunk moments ago, was now perfectly sober. They had been putting on an act for me.
Felix glared at me and said, “Apologize to Kelly right now!”
