Chapter 318
Audrey knew she and Yann were on the same page. That was why he looked pissed off.
She didn’t know how close Keith was to Talia or what Keith would sacrifice for her. She didn’t want to forgive those who had hurt her without limit, but she also didn’t want Yann to lose his few good friends because of her.
After all, there was not only friendship between them but also many business dealings, making it impossible to completely cut off ties. If Audrey and Keith were on bad terms, Yann might not just lose a close friend but also gain a business eremy.
Audrey patted Yann’s leg in a soothing manner and gave Keith a perfunctory smile. “Your apology today shows you still consider Yann a good friend. Since you’re friends, you won’t put your buddy in a difficult position, right?”
The light in Keith’s eyes dimmed instantly. He squeezed his wine glass tightly, as if mustering courage.
Glancing at Quentin and Hardy, he took a deep breath and said, “Audrey, all three us are single, but Quentin has a son, and Hardy has a daughter who somehow has the same DNA, but I have nobody.”
With a pitiful expression and thick pleading in his eyes, he looked at Audrey and said, “Audrey, after you have the baby, can you spare one for me to
raise?”
Keith’s chair was kicked over by Yann.
“Do you know what you’re talking about?” Quentin stood up to help Keith with the chair. “I think it
Keith said in confusion, “I already have a company.”
more likely you’d get his company than his child.”
Only then did Audrey realize Keith wasn’t pleading for Talia but asking for her unborn child. She instinctively reached out to touch her belly.
Yann served a plate of food to Audrey.
Hardy poured Keith a glass of wine and pushed it to his lips. “This is a punishment for your nonsense.”
Keith drank it readily, then looked at Audrey with a pitiful gaze and said, “I didn’t explain clearly. I don’t want to take your child away; I want to be your child’s godfather.”
He added, “Raising three children will surely be hard for you and Yann. I can help raise the naughtiest one, whether it’s a boy or a girl.”
“If you want a child, come to me,” Quentin patted Keith’s back and said. “I’ll give you a checkup tomorrow. If everything’s fine, I’ll collect your sperm immediately and find a match.”
Keith was about to say more but fell silent under Yann’s sharp gaze.
After the meal, Yann really had fishing gear brought over to catch fish and make soup for Audrey.
Audrey accompanied him fishing for a while. When she went back to use the restroom, she heard Hardy and Quentin talking next door.
Quentin said, “No wonder Keith insisted on coming with me–Yann called to brag about becoming a father.”
“He showed off to me too and made me host the dinner,” Hardy said.
“After Audrey gives birth, I bet he’ll take the triplets to the office. I have a way to make Keith’s wish come true,” Quentin said.
Hardy asked, “What way?”
Quentin replied, “Audrey is having triplets, isn’t she? The three of us can each be a godfather. By then, Yann will definitely want to spend time alone with Audrey and be glad for us to raise their kids.”
Chapter 318
Hardy said, “If there’s a daughter, you can be her godfather. I’ll take a son, and we’ll just assign one to Keith,”
Audrey was speechless. Her children hadn’t even been born yet, and godfathers were already lined up.
While she was surprised that Quentin and Hardy wanted to be godfathers, Keith’s request seemed even more outrageous. She wondered what had triggered Keith’s sudden change in attitude.
When Audrey returned to the fishpond, she heard the four of them playing a game before getting close.
Hárdy said, “I won an esports championship.”
The other three shook their heads.
Quentin said, “My research improved cancer cure rates.”
The other three shook their heads dejectedly.
Yann said, “I have triplets.”
“Can you come up with something new? You’ve said that a million times,” Quentin protested strongly. He had grown tired of hearing Yann mention it every time they met since the news broke. But seeing Yann proudly raise his chin, Quentin sighed helplessly.
The other three shook their heads in resignation.
Keith burped, drunk, and slurred, “I had a circumcision.”
Quentin and Hardy each punched Keith on the shoulder. The already drunk Keith lost his balance and fell into the fishpond.
Yann jumped up. “My fish!”
Half an hour later, wrapped in a blanket and holding a cup of hot water, Keith complained pitifully, “I fell into a fishpond–you definitely haven’t, so I win
too.”
On the way back, Audrey couldn’t help laughing at the memory. Men always started competitions for some weird stuff.
Yann held her hand and asked with concern, “Did you like the food tonight?”
“It was good,” Audrey smiled. When Yann gently touched her belly, she told him what she had heard Quentin and the others discussing in the restroom.
“Quentin said the three of them want to be godfathers to our babies,” Audrey pretended not to know how to decide and asked, “What do you think?”
Yann said, “We can give them a chance to compete.”
“For what?” she asked.
Yann replied, “They’ll surely compete to be the most qualified godfathers.”
Audrey rolled her eyes. Men’s competitive spirit was at it again. “Do you agree?” she asked.
“I respect your opinion.” Yann’s hand suddenly moved toward her chest. “We can discuss it after the babies are born.”
She was having triplets, and no one could guarantee there would be no complications during development. If it turned ou probably stop fighting over it.
twins, they would
Audrey thought the same and moved his hand away as she spoke. “Okay, let’s do as you say.” Yann had to settle for stroking her belly again, feeling it seemed bigger.

Chapter 318
The next day, Lena came to Audrey’s to pick up what she had bought the you enjoy shopping with Owen yesterday?”
day before. Noticing Lena looked upset, Audrey asked, “What’s wring? Didn’t
“Not really.” Lena smiled at the thought of something that made her happy but then leaned on Audrey’s arm with a pitiful look. “it’s about my previous blind date–remember him?”
Audrey nodded.
She had accompanied Lena on a blind date with a round–faced gentleman and a red–haired motor–biker.
“He said he’s in love with me and is willing to marry into my family,” Lena said.
“Who? The red–haired guy?” Audrey asked.
Lena paused. “No, not him. Well, yes and no.”
Audrey was confused. She didn’t think two months of pregnancy would make her brain foggy, but she suspected carrying triplets was accelerating her forgetfulness.
Seeing her confusion, Lena explained slowly, “The guy on the blind date was the red–haired man, but he isn’t naturally red–haired.”
“Was it a disguise?” Audrey understood.
Lena shook her head. “Not exactly. He had to take photos that day and didn’t have time to remove his makeup. He didn’t want to marry into my family at first, but after seeing me, he changed his mind.”
