“You look beautiful, Mrs. Enzo,” Cora complimented me as she did her finishing touch on my face.
“Thank you. Enzo made me dress up so elaborately, I wonder where he’s taking me,” I said, trying to sound her out.
Enzo vanished immediately after he dropped me off at home, and it’s 6:35 p.m. now. I’ve been trying to get Cora to give me a hint of what Enzo has planned, but she wouldn’t say a word.
She laughed at my attempt. “I honestly don’t know where Mr. Enzo is taking you, and I also have no idea what event it is.”
I sighed.
“I’ll find out soon,” I consoled my curiosity.
“Yeah.” Cora checked her wristwatch and smiled excitedly at me. “It’s time.”
A car honked from outside immediately after she said that.”
“Let’s go.”

The chauffeur stopped in front of an amusement park. I looked out the window of the car with a confused expression, wondering why Enzo made me dress up beautifully for a park date.”
There was a gentle knock on the door before it was pulled open, and Enzo was there, smiling at me.”
“My queen,” he said, opening his hand for me to take.}
I placed my hand in his as I alighted from the car.“]
“You look stunning,” he complimented me and kissed my cheek.”
“Thank you. You don’t look bad too,” I returned his compliment.
Enzo is stylishly dressed tonight. He wore a midnight black tuxedo, and his dark hair was slicked back. Enzo is a handsome man, but he’s devilishly handsome.§
What are we doing in an amusement park dressed like this?” I asked the question that had been bugging me. “I think we’re overdressed for this place,” I added.“]
He shook his head. “We’re perfectly dressed for later.”
I laughed at his response. “Okay.”
“So, I invited you here tonight because I want to let you into my life completely,” he said, his voice becoming serious.
Let me into his life completely? Are we having an official wedding here? I decided to ask instead of assuming.”
“What do you mean?”
He engulfed me in a hug, with his chin resting on my shoulder, and I could tell his eyes were closed.
“Babygirl, I love you. I love you so much that words can’t express how much I love you, but I’ve been holding back on you,” he said.”
I didn’t say anything but patted his back reassuringly. Then he continued.
“Many people know me as a tough and ruthless man, but they don’t know that I have fears too. I have so many fears, and I am ready to
show you all of them. I want you to know everything about me tonight. Will you stay and listen to me?“!
He’s the man I’ve chosen to spend the rest of my life with. And since he’s willing to open up to me, why not?!
I nodded. “Yes. I’ll listen.”
He smiled brightly and took my hand in his.
“Let’s ride on that,” he said, pointing at the Ferris wheel.
“Okay.”
We walked hand in hand towards the Ferris wheel.

I closed my eyes, spread out my arms, and let the cool breeze kiss my face as the Ferris wheel moved.”
Enzo, on the other hand, was hugging me as if his life depended on me, and he wouldn’t stop screaming like a schoolgirl.
Finally, the wheel stopped, and I couldn’t help but laugh at Enzo’s expression.
“You were screaming like a schoolgirl,” I teased him.
He cleared his throat. “Well, I’m glad you enjoyed the ride.” His voice was quiet when he said that.”
I stopped laughing at once.
“Is that one of your fears?” I asked.
He nodded.”
“Why? Is there a story behind it?” I asked again.”
He nodded again. He stayed silent, just staring at the people underneath the wheel with sadness. I guessed he was remembering something else.”
“I know Cora told you some things about me. Did she tell you about my sister?“>

“No,” I answered.
“I used to have a younger sister, Renee,” he said. He raised his head, and I saw his Adam’s apple move–was he trying not to cry?}
“That’s a beautiful name,” I said.”
“Yeah, and she was beautiful too,” he replied and let out a sad chuckle.
“What happened to her?” I asked.”
He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly before beginning.
“It was her sixteenth birthday. My parents were too busy to take her out, and they didn’t want her to go out alone because, you know, my dad was the Mafia boss then. Every Mafia member’s dream is to become the Mafia boss, and so, my parents were scared that someone might get her.“>
I noticed his hand had subconsciously found mine. I gave him an encouraging squeeze.”
“Renee was sad. She wanted to go out at all cost. I hated seeing her sad. Being the big brother I was, I offered to take her out. My parents were against it, but I promised them that I would watch her closely. They reluctantly agreed, and we went to an amusement park. Renee was so happy. I can still remember the look on her face.“>
He paused as he smiled warmly. He must be recalling his sister’s happy face.”
“Everything was going on smoothly. No strange person approached us, and we were just doing our thing. Then we went on a Ferris wheel ride. The ride was smooth at first, but it suddenly stopped at the highest point. The technician tried everything they could, but they couldn’t get the wheel working. I don’t know what happened to Renee, but she suddenly fell off and…”
