Chapter 7
The person who arrived was Charles. He had actually shown up here after not coming home all night.
It seemed that in my previous life, he had been waiting here all along too. It’s just that I died so horribly in my past life that he
never came out.
Now, seeing that the crowd wouldn’t leave, he must have finally lost his patience and come looking for me.
Since he took the initiative to find me this time, I was going to make him understand the price of betraying me.
I exclaimed, “Honey, how did you get here? You need to explain this.”
Seeing Ada standing beside Mila while I stood alone facing everyone, plus these parents looking absolutely furious with photos scattered all over the ground, Charles assumed everything had developed just as they had imagined.
So he angrily scolded, “Charlotte Duncan, you’ve really gone too far. How could you treat your own daughter like this? Ada is still a child, but you actually took nude photos of her for money and sold them to other men. Have you lost your mind?”
Charles kept accusing me, his eyes full of smugness: “Back then, my mother brought Ada home for our own good, hoping we’d

have another child together. But I never thought you’d grow to despise Ada to this extent. Call the police! I’m calling the police and divorcing you!”
However, Charles was so focused on accusing me that he completely failed to notice the increasingly hostile looks from the people around him.
Just as Charles raised his hand to hit me, a man grabbed his wrist and shoved him straight to the ground.
Then he roared, “Disgusting! What I hate most in this life are scumbags like you who cheat and then slander others! We all saw those photos of your affair. How dare you stand here and slander someone else? You’re absolutely shameless!”
Charles fell to the ground, not understanding what had happened.
It wasn’t until he saw that the person in the photos was himself that his face instantly turned pale.
Charles got up and desperately tried to collect all his photos.
Unfortunately, these photos had already been seen by everyone. Even if he picked them up, it was completely useless now.
Charles roared, “How is this possible? How did these photos end up here?”

Then, realizing something, he pointed at Mila and scolded, “Did you do this? I told you I would never divorce my wife. But you actually pulled something like this.
“Let me tell you something. No matter what happens, I will never divorce my wife. You actually created these photos trying to drive a wedge between my wife and me. You’re truly despicable!”
Mila’s face turned pale. Soon, she said resentfully, “You were the one who didn’t want to split the demolition compensation with your wife, so you deliberately deceived me, which is why I went along with slandering your wife.”
Then, in front of everyone, Mila pointed at Charles and said, “Listen up, all of you. I did become a mistress, but this man is far more despicable than me. He was worried his house would be demolished and didn’t want to share the demolition compensation with his wife, so he deliberately seduced me.”
Mila’s words basically confirmed what this whole situation was really about.
At this point, Charles realized something was wrong and looked toward me.
