Chapter 2
Ada cried out, “Daddy, save me! I want some pretty school supplies, but Mommy won’t buy them for me and she hit me. It hurts so much.”
Charles rolled up her sleeves and found several purple bruises on her body.
I was startled and wanted to ask what had happened.
But Charles angrily put Ada down and slapped me across the face: “What kind of mother are you? How could you hit a child?”
I desperately tried to explain: “She’s lying. Those injuries weren’t caused by me.”
I wanted to tell Charles that Ada had lied at the mall, claiming I was a human trafficker, which got me arrested by the police.
But Charles didn’t believe me at all. He cut me off and yelled at me: “She’s only five years old. How could she possibly lie? Can’t you even tolerate your own biological daughter?”
After that, Charles cut off my living expenses entirely.
I was heartbroken and stopped trying to explain, but I became more cautious.
I thought this was just an accident, but when I was dropping

Ada off at school, she actually pleaded with me at the school gate: “Mommy, please let me go to school, okay? I don’t want to take those photos for the uncles to see.”
I was stunned. Before I could react, the kindergarten teacher Mila rushed forward and pulled out a large number of photos from my shoulder bag, with buyers‘ names even written on them.
After seeing those photos, Mila hugged Ada protectively and accused me: “How could you treat your own biological daughter like this? You’re inhuman!”
Before I could explain, an angry man pushed me into the middle of the road, and I was hit and turned into a bloody mess.
Before dying, I saw Ada’s malicious look in her eyes.
That wasn’t the kind of look a five–year–old girl should have at all.
Unfortunately, even until my death, I couldn’t figure out why Ada, whom I had worked so hard to give birth to, would do such things.
Every night when I held her to sleep, she would hug my arm and gently kiss my cheek, saying: “Mommy, I love you the most.”
Now that I’ve been reborn, I must figure out what’s really going

With this thought, I glanced at Charles, who was preparing to work from home: “Charles, Ada just got back. Why don’t you drive us there?”
Since Charles believed Ada wouldn’t lie, then in this life, I’ll let him see with his own eyes exactly how Ada lies.
Charles didn’t hesitate and agreed immediately.
After arriving at the mall, Ada jumped out of the car while Charles stayed in the car waiting for us: “I just got a notification about some work I need to handle. You two go ahead and shop. Take good care of Ada. Just come back here when you’re done.”
I nodded and walked into the school supply store with an excited Ada.
Just like in my previous life, as soon as Ada saw that utility knife, she excitedly ran over: “Mommy, I want this one. It has patterns on it. Please buy this for me, okay?”
